Solo Movie Ideas for Wanda

With rumors of my lovely Wanda getting a solo movie and even a possible trilogy after the events of Multiverse of Madness there has been some internet discourse of what it could possibly be about. Surely this witch who has appeared in nearly 2000 comic books can’t possibly have enough depth to her to carry her own movies, surely Marvel only writes plot driven stories and can’t fathom a solo story for a character that doesn’t have much to work with in the source material. So here we go with possible storylines for a solo Scarlet Witch movie (some of which will obviously change after the multiverse of madness).

The Darkhold and Chthon

So this option is the most obvious one as we’ve already seen Wanda using the Darkhold.

Act 1; Wanda uses the Darkhold to unlock her chaos magic, she has questions about her ancestry and who she is so she goes to Agatha who is willing to trade her answers for her freedom. Agatha starts unlocking memories of the Scarlet Witch and we see someone who looks a lot like Wanda’s mom and a flash of a new face. The end of this act shows the Darkhold acting on it's own.

Act 2; Wanda and Agatha search through and for other magic writings that mention the Darkhold. In doing so they awaken and summon Chthon. Wanda starts to struggle with control over her magic and it has a darker edge whenever she tries to use it. Agatha recognizes what's happening and tries to bind her magic with Wanda’s but it doesn’t work. Wanda starts hearing Chthon’s voice in her head. Chthon uses Wanda’s power to gain a physical form. Chthon reeks chaos, and causes Wanda physical pain as it uses her power to do it.

Act 3; The only way to take down Chthon is for Agatha and the previous Scarlet Witch to channel their power through Wanda, Agatha dieing in the process and the full power of the Scarlet Witch transferring to Wanda permanently.

The Children’s Crusade (In Reverse)

White Vision is now in existence which opens up several interesting options but pulling from this storyline is definitely the easiest.

Act 1; White Vision travels to all the places Wanda and Vision spent time together. Deciding that he wants to know more about his past life he sets out to find Wanda. Wanda, still distraught over the loss of her children, tries to use the Darkhold for a way to bring them back. White Vision finds Wanda and she explains what she’s trying to do.

Act 2; White Vision and Wanda try to find a way to get the boys back, most of the conflict being internal between Wanda’s emotions and White Visions logic and reason. In doing so Vision is shown Wanda’s kindness, love and protectiveness but still feels nothing for her because he feels nothing. After several failed attempts, Wanda decides she needs help from the only person who understands how her magic works, Agatha. Agatha tells Wanda that the boys were nothing more than manifestations of her magic, Wanda refuses to believe her White Vision threatens Agatha and afterwards gets her to tell them that Billy and Tommy do exist but they are just ordinary boys born to different families. Wanda and White Vision discuss why he threatened Agatha on behalf of Wanda. Wanda decides to give Agatha’s power back to her if she helps her find her sons.

Act 3; They find Billy and Tommy living their happy, separate lives. Wanda, on the verge of a breakdown, is contained by White Vision Vision. Wanda consumed by her emotions breaks free from him (Fight time). Agatha seeing the pain that Wanda is in, gets a hold of White Vision and uses her powers to grant him emotions, he opens his eyes and sees Wanda now able to console her properly they both drift back down to the ground. Agatha tells Wanda that she shouldn’t have to go through this world alone even if her children aren’t real.

This is simply part 1, please stay tuned for part 2!
