Fan reactions claim that the anime is rather fun and lighthearted, however, that isn't the case with the first ever English-language trailer for the series.

Pokémon isn't shy when it releases a new animated series. With the release of Sun and Moon already here, many fans from around the world have already begun to prepare their plans for training, evolving, and enjoying the entirely new story and zone. Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon is also about to welcome in its new cast of Pokémon for fans to become acquainted with as well as Professor Oaks chilled-out cousin, Professor Samson.

In Japan, Pokémon fans have already had a chance to see the brand new anime adaption for Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon while fans choose which game to get. Fan reactions have circulated and claim that the anime is rather fun, lighthearted, and fits the ton for being in a tropical island. However, that isn't the case with the first ever English-language trailer for the series.

If you've seen the Japanese one, it's comedic, it's funny, and it seems rather enjoyable to all those looking into it. However, something about it seems a little off. If you were to look at it from a different angle? It'd fit into the horror genre quite well and could actually have been suitable for the series to add some form of good little spooky elements to it. You can take a peak at the trailer below for those who have yet to see it.

While the trailer does offer the signature action-y look of the franchise, it still offers up a nifty little chance for Pokémon to go down that route, which it has done a few times before. At the helm of it is our series regulars of Ash Ketchum and his pal Pikachu, whom just happens to be as sparky as ever, and ready to face any challenge coming their way.

If Ash and Pikachu running isn't proof enough this could happen, I'm not sure what else could, because I sure as heck would be out running them with Doduo at my side. Even then, it might be worthwhile to run anyways, and there's nothing wrong with that.
