The Pale Blue Eye Trailer

Hey Guys I have just seen a crime thriller film named The Pale Blue Eye on Netflix, which is available in Hindi as well as English.

The story of this film is set in the 18th century, where Detective Landor is hired to solve the gruesome murders happening one after another at the US military academy in West Point. So whether detective Landor is able to solve those difficult cases or not, you have to watch this movie to find out.

The Pale Blue Eye Movie Review

If I were to share my experience, I would say that The Haunting of Bly Manor by Mike Flanagan, a Gothic horror drama, was the last Gothic mystery thriller I saw.

The Gothic setting is very convincing, and as a fan of the Gothic subgenre, I'm thrilled to see this movie even though it doesn't have a particularly well-written or suspenseful mystery.

Very beautifully, a dark, cold, or eerie atmosphere has been created in this film from start to finish.

And, as is often the case with Gothic mysteries, this film is also a slow burn.

Suspense, tension, or mystery have been built slowly in this film too, so you have to watch this film with all your patience.

And believe me, the mystery of this film will keep you decently engaged.

Because some interesting deep layers are present in its mystery

That is why, as this film progresses and the mysterious unfolding continues, you will begin to enjoy it.

The Pale Blue Eye Movie

Unexpected twists and turns are seen in the last 20 to 40 minutes of this film, and this film will keep its real culprit hidden from you till the end.

I have personally liked the character of Detective Landor and his partner Edgar; the chemistry between the two is also very good, especially with Edgar, who is one of the most interesting characters in the entire film.

And somewhere, because of the characters, I have been engaged in this film.

In terms of acting, all the actors have done well, especially Christian Bale, who is always a treat to watch.

And you will see Harry Melling giving him very good support.

Weak Points

As I already told you, this is not a smartly written or well-executed film. There are some logic or believability issues here, and its pacing is also very uneven; 80 percent of this film is moving at a slow pace. But in the end, a lot of information is revealed very quickly and in a short time, which looks interesting because you are not expecting anything like that, but all that information is not able to create that emotional impact, which he actually should have done.

Conclusion

If this story had been made into a miniseries instead of a film, it would have had a greater impact in my opinion, but it was a decent crime thriller mystery.

If you enjoy watching slow-burn movies or series that are mysterious, you can pass the time by watching this movie with low expectations; however, if you find watching slow-burn movies or series boring, you should avoid it.

That's all for now; see you later.
