Factors that lead to such period.

The era that changed everything:

If one were asked to name an era that revolutionized the entire world, few would hesitate in answering, the “Industrialization period”. Although the main focus of such periods was towards great economic growth along with the progression of the production level, technological advancements, and increasing job opportunities for the working class, societies tend to forget the key aspects that lead to such occurrences. What caused the world to transition from a seemingly below-average, horrendous to a high-class modernized society filled with families of the upper-class ruling the entire period? This has always been a debated topic to discuss and has now become the most controversial as historians have a proliferating amount of evidence to back up the reasons behind the trend that lead to industrialization.

Capitalism:

A saying would go by during those periods, “The prerequisite for more economic equality in the world is industrialization. And this is possible only through increased capital investment, increased capital accumulation”. The elevated rate of evidence would suggest that capitalism had everything to do with industrialization and the way it provided technological and societal changes which altered the entire economy at that time, bringing in wealth that created factories and mines. In this way, the world grew further and improved human settlement patterns, labor, and family life. This phenomenon developed its roots in the process of a progressing society, which began in England in the year 1750.

Mercantilism:

At the time, it seemed the monarchy took control over the entire aspects of the economy and followed through the mercantilism economic system (Mercantilists: Sir Josiah Child, William Petty). Mercantilism dominated Western European from the sixteenth to the late eighteenth centuries and the mercantilist objective was to achieve a “favorable” balance of trade that would bring gold and silver into the country which would further expand the country’s wealth and power and develop an excellent reputation among the other mercantilist countries and also to maintain domestic employment. The mercantile system served the interests of merchants and producers such as the British East India Company, whose activities were protected or encouraged by the state and became the world’s most powerful and influential corporation that became India’s dominant power following many wins and victories.

Machines that took over the era:

Of the difficulties faced by laborers doing agricultural work, it became compulsory to improve the industry, therefore beginning the agricultural revolution. It aided in bringing the industrial revolution through innovations and inventions and altered the entire framework of farming (Jethro Tull: inventor of the seed drill that revolutionized the entire industrialization period). It would seem that at the start of the agricultural period, laborers decided to migrate to the city and work in industrial jobs as the decline in the rate of agricultural workers grew due to the increase in new inventions. This revolution continued until the mid-19th century, in which the lands were owned and controlled by a smaller number of farmers.

Culmination:

To recapitulate, the aspects that lead to the development of a mighty period always benefitted the rich and the powerful who, unlike the working class, owned and operated the factories, and mines and controlled the entire scheme by employing workers and setting wages as low as possible. This caused the working class to experience difficult times and find it difficult to make ends meet. Many children from low-class backgrounds make the ultimate sacrifice by leaving school and giving up their education in order to start aiding their families by working in steel mills and factories, just so they could produce enough money and wages to put food on the table.
