The Glory Kdrama Review

Gil Ho Ahn, director of Korean dramas such as Happiness and Stranger, and writer Kim Eun-sook, author of masterpieces such as Goblin and Descendants of the Sun

Why am I telling you all of this? because they've collaborated on a new Korean drama called The Glory, which I've just completed watching on Netflix.

This series will require you to view a total of 8 episodes. This series was developed exclusively for an adult audience, which means you will see violent situations, etc.

If you have already seen many revenge dramas like "Revenge of the Others," "Weak Hero," etc., will this series offer you any glory or not? Let's find out.

So the story follows Moong Dong Eu, who is harassed and brutally bullied by some of his classmates during his school days.

And the one who is responsible for all these things is the villainous Park Yeon Jin.

So when Dong Eu graduates from school, she puts her dreams to the side and plans revenge against the people who caused her so much trouble.

So you'll have to watch this Korean series to find out what happens in the middle of her journey to complete her revenge.

The Glory Kdrama Review

If I simply define this series for you, then if you like watching revenge dramas and if you can tolerate slow pacing, then this series will give you a lot of fun.

The story has been presented in a non-linear way at the beginning, i.e., what has happened every year with Dong Eu; all those things are shown in a non-linear way with which you can easily connect, and you also remain excited for what happens next in Dong Eu's life.

Even though the story of this series is old, its writing or execution is very good.

This drama has a lot of characters, and the most important thing is that the development of even a single character is not faded, which means that the development of all the characters in this drama is very strong.

As a way, when you connect from the perspective of the hero character, you will be able to feel everything about it, and when you connect from the perspective of the villain, you will be able to experience their stuff.

And this thing works very well in the writing of this series.

Chemistry is important in Korean dramas, and this series shows good pairing. This means that the performers, the villains, their bonding, their drama, and even their visible chemistry work extremely well.

Performances of the lead

In terms of performances, Song Hye-ko has brought her character to life until the end. I mean, you will enjoy her killer expressions and intense look throughout the series.

Even when she smiles for the first time, I really like that moment.

Other actors, such as Lim Ji-yeon, Lee Do Hyun, and Jung Sung II, have also played their roles convincingly.

Everything in this show is currently lined up for its second season, which will stream until March 2023.

I was also expecting action with this series, but it was not found here. Instead, you'll learn about Dong Eu's mental games, which she uses to outwit his opponents.

The production value, background music, and costumes of the characters are all excellent.

Weak Points

As I said, the concept of this series is not new; I have personally experienced this concept many times before. Second, if you like to watch mass-produced dramas or films, then maybe you will not be able to tolerate this series.

Maybe you stop watching this Korean drama after watching one or two episodes because of its slow pacing.

This clearly presents a drama that only my accompanying drama fans would enjoy.

Final thoughts

I really enjoyed the Glory Korean series; for the first time in a long time, I was able to connect with the settings of revenge dramas.

Even on an emotional level, this series does not disappoint, particularly with what is happening to Doong Eu.

This series has disappointed me because of its average plot, which could have been much better, but I am happy with what I have now.

So if you have seen this series, then tell us in the comments how your experience with it was.

And don't forget to give me a "like" for this review; your one like means a lot to me.
