The Bold and the Beautiful: Tanner Novlin update

Finn may be gone for good on The Bold and the Beautiful

Friday's episode of The Bold and the Beautiful seemed to be the last for John Finnegan (Tanner Novlin). He was shot by his mother Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) while trying to stop her from shooting his wife Steffy (Jackie woods). Viewers were hoping Finn and Steffy would be together for a long time and stop the cycle of Wood's character returning to Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton).

After being shot in the stomach area Finn began to bleed profusely as Steffy stood by in utter shock. He told her he loved her and asked her to look out for their daughter which in soapland is usually the final goodbye. Spoilers had been saying for weeks that the man who does the Liberty Bibberty commercial for Liberty Mutual Insurance Company was on his way out and many B&B fans were expecting the same.

There is always a chance that the drama was for effect and that Finn will live but most fans believe this is the shocking event that has been predicted would happen. There is now concern over what comes next for Wood who is soon to give birth to her third child. She will be going on maternity leave and there are several possibilities for what comes next.

Sheila is running amuck in LA

Sheila could shoot Steffy and she has to recover in the hospital or a rehab center for a long period of time. Shelia could pull the trigger and leave both her son and daughter in law dead which really would be something those who watch The Bold and the Beautiful truly would hate to see play out. Sheila could panic and take Steffy hostage and no one hears from them for a while.

When Wood was pregnant with her second child Novlan was off-screen practically the entire time she was on maternity leave. The writers could have given him a storyline where he interacted with other characters which would have increased his presence on B&B but it did not happen. Some viewers do not believe Finn is really dead but even if he is not, he probably would not get air time while is on screen love interest is away having a baby.

Tanner Novlan works with the least of these

Novlan has not allowed his lack of on-screen presence to interfere with what he is doing in real time. The actor has been on the US/Mexico Border working with This Is About Humanity a community that is dedicated to raising awareness about issues on both sides of the Mexican border. They work with separated and reunified families and vulnerable communities on the US and Mexican border area.

Novlan visited the El Bordo border wall and spoke with asylum seekers as well as migrant families in Tijuana Sun Hambre. This is About Humanity also distributed shoes to children who are studying at Yes We Can World Foundation’s mobile school bus.

Tanner also listened to the testimonies from women who are fleeing violence, unaccompanied along with minor children, and families. Perhaps Novlan's efforts being made known will inspire others to put their feet on the gr0und in the border area and assist those who are unable to help themselves.

Tanner Novlan and his wife, Kayla Ewell, have one daughter, Poppy Marie, and are expecting another child in August. Things are pretty tense and may get a lot worse before they begin to improve.
