The Biggest Hit Of The Year Is On NETFLIX

Netflix, or streaming recommendations, aren’t hard to come by. We all have those things that attract us. But, when something knocks your socks off, leaves you feeling tense, and is shockingly well acted, things start to come together.

Well, Netflix’s newest outing does all that and more.

If you haven’t figured out which one I’m hot on this week, it’s the Netflix release of APEX. APEX stars Charlize Theron (Sasha), and Taron Egerton (Ben), along with Eric Bana (Tommy) and Matt Welan, Bessie Holland, and Aaron Pederson. But you’re probably hooked off the first three names alone.

What happens when an adrenaline junkie, months after a climbing accident, decides to go to her old partners homeland to tackle a river? She finds that the vast wilds of Australia aren’t the only thing out for blood.

When a woman, on her own, is faced with some sort of a sick game of cat and mouse, she is set on the run in the harshest terrains and among the geological toughness of Australia. This isn’t any of the usual sort of cat and mouse games, as the cat is attempting to play with his pray in the sickest ways you can think of.

Taron Egerton is literally on fire during APEX, and puts on a show stealing performance as BEN, a stranger in the middle of the jungle, who seems to be the nice guy of the story, until he shows his real face.

As the action unfolds, there is the added advantage of the harsh scenery being equally beautiful and dangerous, as viewers watch the chase unfold across land, rapids, peaceful waters, and beneath the blue skies of Australia.

Nothing about Ben’s game makes sense, until it does, and the most shocking of motives comes to light.

With some incredible performances by Charlize Theron, and Taron Egerton’s best work of his career, the action in places is brought together by the insane camera work, the stunts that will leave you on edge, and the sinister meaning behind Ben’s intentions.

This weekend’s best thing on streaming is APEX, on Netflix.

If you're sick of the political garbage, particularly in the United States, there's the drama series Designated Survivor. Imagine it if you will, a total reset in how our government operates, as the entire line of succession, Congress, and the Supreme Court, are wiped out during a terrorist bombing at the capital. That is, except for the Designated Survivor. The world has never excepted change all that easily, and Keiffer Sutherlands job as the newly elected president isn't going to see any easy days.

For a laugh, and if youre into superheroes, you might check out NETFLIX's THUNDER Force. This brings Octavia Spencer, Jason Bateman, and Melissa McCarthy together as to altered people who develop superpowers, as if McCarthy and Spencer needed superpowers! Seeing Melissa McCarthy pick up a bus and launch it across town, then dealing with Jason Bateman and his crab claw hands, is the stuff the Avengers might want to assemble for and bring some popcorn.

Overall, I think your viewing needs will get knocked out of the park during APEX, but there are plenty of other things to watch on Netflix if you're experiencing rain, tired, or just want to escape from life.
