It has been a week for the golden oldies. First Harrison Ford is back on for Indiana Jones 5, and now Arnie has confirmed that he will be returning for a sixth Terminator outing.

Last year the fifth film, Terminator Genisys, failed to light a spark with critics, but grossing of $440 million at the box office meant it was the second most successful outing for the franchise, behind Terminator 2: Judgement Day. Genisys was planned to be the first of a new Terminator trilogy, but hopes for a sequel were dashed when Paramount removed it from their 2017 schedule and replaced Genisys 2 with Baywatch.

Like a T-1000 rising from a vat of molten steel, we were then shocked to hear that Terminator would 'be back.' In an interview with Australia's Channel 9, the former Governor of California told host Richard Wilkins:

I am looking forward to it, absolutely.

This will be the 68-year-old's fifth outing as the T-800 robot, having first appeared as a robotic (naked) assassin in 1984's The Terminator. The original release date was May 19, 2017, but with the Baywatch bump it isn't known when the untitled Genisys sequel will arrive. Who cares though really, Arnie is back!
