Fixer Upper: Colorado Mountain House — A New Era of Rustic Elegance
When Fixer Upper first premiered, audiences fell in love with the show’s signature blend of creative vision, heartwarming storytelling, and the unmistakable charm of Chip and Joanna Gaines. Their influence on home design—warm woods, clean lines, timeless textures—has rippled across the country. Yet with Fixer Upper: The Hotel and later Fixer Upper: The Castle, it became clear the Gaineses were evolving, expanding beyond Waco while carrying their aesthetic and values into new territory. But Fixer Upper: Colorado Mountain House marks a refreshing shift: a return to the intimacy of personal home renovation, set against the dramatic landscape of the American West.

Bugonia . Top Story - December 2025.
Okay so I have a love-hate relationship with Yorgos Lanthimos. He is either brilliant, or he’s a self indulgent mess with no message of any kind and there really doesn’t seem to be any in between. So watching his movies is tedious. That said he always manages to pull in actors that I love so I always bite the bullet and watch whatever he puts out. This year's entry is Bugonia. And from a hit or miss director this one is a hit.

Maxton Hall – The World Between Us Season 2 Review
When Maxton Hall – The World Between Us premiered, it quickly became one of the surprise international hits of its year—an irresistible blend of elite-school drama, slow-burn romance, and emotional intensity. Based on Mona Kasten’s bestselling Save trilogy, Season 1 ended with heartbreak, unanswered questions, and a promise of much deeper conflict ahead. Season 2 fulfills that promise with striking confidence. It is richer, more mature, and more emotionally resonant than its predecessor—an evolution that elevates the series from addictive teen romance to a genuinely powerful character-driven drama.

Weapons
Weapons was the talk of the internet when it first came out, but the response seemed to be like a flash in the pan. Honestly that’s part of the reason I put some distance between my watch and the film's release date unless it's something I’m dying to see. Not that I ever believe public opinion anyway but it's nice to see if the film's quality holds up against the internet’s attention span.

Revisiting The Visitors: How a 1993 French Comedy Became a Timeless Cultural Gem
Some films survive because they are masterpieces. Others survive because they are quirky, unpolished, chaotic, and utterly unforgettable. The Visitors (Les Visiteurs, 1993), the cult-classic French comedy directed by Jean-Marie Poiré, belongs squarely in the latter category—and that’s exactly why it continues to charm audiences decades later. Equal parts slapstick, satire, and absurdist fantasy, the film blends medieval mayhem with modern-day madness in a way that still feels fresh, even in a world saturated with time-travel stories.
