Streaming services are making it easier than ever to learn about our planet. Earth month is a perfect opportunity to take a closer look at the state of our world and encourage our families to join in. Children tend to be more receptive to education in a fun format so don’t forget to bring the whole family in on your earth-ucation! I have marked any shows below that are not child-friendly or should be reviewed to determine if the content is appropriate for your child.
The Creative ChimeraPublished 3 years ago in Geeks 5 Redeemable Marvel Movie Villains
Marvel Cinematic Universe has been dealing with a lot of compelling villains from the beginning. Some of them are redeemable, and some are too evil to be saved. We have noticed various remarkable villains from the film Avengers to X-Men, who have completely different targets and goals. Out of this wide variety of villains in the MCU, some are very destructive and harm a number of people without any apparent reason. On the other hand, there are also some villains in the Marvel Cinematic Universe who have completely changed the thoughts of the audience by their desire to make a difference. However, they do not know how they can approach this. There are some villains like Nebula from the film Guardians of the Galaxy, who are just minions, follow orders, and wish for a great and better life. In this article, we have discussed some of the MCU villains who are redeemable for the upcoming movies.
freya gilbertPublished 3 years ago in GeeksThe 8 Most Underrated Disney Sidekicks and Sub-Villains
*This article first ran on The Mary Sue April 5th, 2015. I certify that I am the author.* Sidekicks. Without them, the hero or villain has to do their own dirty work, warn (or burn) the village themselves, and build up their own self-esteem. A good sidekick brings out the best or worst in a hero or villain. Without Robin, Batman is a grumpy rich guy in a cool suit. With Robin, he takes on a dimension of (arguably lacking) fatherly/mentor-ly concern.
Sara GoodwinPublished 3 years ago in GeeksThe 3 Best Feel-Good Competition Shows
When the 2020 season of The Great British Baking Show aired in the midst of a global pandemic the internet rejoiced. Here was the panacea for our collective woes: a little soothing lightness and laughter, and a lot of sugar. And just like a sugar rush, you can count on the show to lift your mood.
Maria Shimizu ChristensenPublished 3 years ago in GeeksSurvival of the Fittest
Some of you might have climbed Everest. While others backcountry ski. However, the Survival Film genre does pull another crowd, who shout “could have” or “should have” remarks from a sofa, with a bucket of popcorn on their lap. Who would have thought that the 2020 Covid-19 survival strategy would in fact involve a sofa, bucket of popcorn, and films? Whichever camp you're in doesn’t matter, all are welcome. The thrill of the Survival Film Genre is being able to mentally strategize quicker than the protagonist on screen, thus making one’s self feel confident to win the title: Survival of the Fittest.

Katia MiyamotoPublished 3 years ago in GeeksLove and Punishment: The art of realistic love and the depth of human emotion
When Makoto Shinkai’s Kimi no Nawa(Your Name) hit theaters in 2016, the film instantly achieved the second-largest gross for a domestic film in Japan and the fourth-largest ever. It topped the box office for a record-breaking 12 weekends and became the highest-grossing animated film in China. For once, the critics and fans were in agreement; the movie was good. So when the US release finally began its run in late April of 2017, I knew I had to go see it, and it didn’t disappoint. Everything from the animation, to the soundtrack, even the opening grabbed hold of me and refused to let go.
Mukena AddictPublished 3 years ago in GeeksLoved A Fault In Our Stars?
Everyone goes through that time where they want to sit in front of a screen and watch a fully developed, emotionally charged, loving....tear jerker. You know, the movie where its so sickly sweet and romantic yet so real and relatable but always ends with you crying your heart out in your couch pillow. You also have the ones that are absolutely tragic and the only reason you subject yourself to such soul wrenching emotions is because you need a good cry.
Blue DymondPublished 3 years ago in GeeksIf Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Then Superstore
Brooklyn Nine-Nine won the hearts of millions of people. It reached every viewer on a personal level from those of us who adore the straight cut and monotonous ways of Captain Holt who would let loose from time to time with his acronyms and backstories when working a case with Jake, to loving the crazy yoghurt obsessed Terry who adores his suspenders as much as he adores his two girls, to even falling in love…creepily I’ll admit… with the puppy-like qualities of everyone’s cousin, Charles Boyle, who lacks the ability of a filter and the understanding of inappropriate comments and highly sexual innuendos. There is even a portion of the “Nine Niners” who love the laidback and irresponsible Gina who would rather dance and play “Cwasy Cupcakes” on her phone than work.
The Top 5 Cary Elwes Movies
Actor Cary Elwes has had a strange career. Pegged as a leading man coming off of his breakthrough performance in The Princess Bride, Elwes never popped as a leading man after that film went down in history as one of the most delightful family movies of all time. After that came many high profile roles in big movies but Elwes receded into character actor roles rather quickly for a man of his leading man good looks and proper English diction.

Mohamed RifthyPublished 3 years ago in Geeks135 Thoughts I Had While Watching Zack Snyder's 'Justice League'
Oh boy. The Snyder cut. Justice League was an ugly hot mess of a film in every sense of the word. Joss Whedon's reshoots completely changed the original vision, and so now, years later, receiving the original cut is supposed to set this movie right. Well, I hated Justice League. I could rant for hours about why I hated it. So, walking into this, I'm not quite sure what to expect, but, it's time to see if the Snyder cut, the original cut, is the true movie that fans were asking for.
