Are We Too Sensitive?
I read an article recently about certain movies that were released somewhere around the 90s and how they wouldn't fly today. Some of them I got and others I was curious about how sensitive the writer thinks we are as a society. I know a lot of us are sensitive to gender identity and sexuality and with good reason because a lot of people can be cruel when it comes to those topics.

The Legend of Zelda: Zach's Quest
The Legend of Zelda series is one of the most popular, loved and influential video game series on this planet. So many kids of the 80's, 90's and the 2000's have grown up with these games and the adventures that Link and Zelda get themselves into. This series means an immense amount to a lot of people and honestly, I feel that The Legend of Zelda series means more to me than it does to anybody else on this Earth.

Heroes and Villains
Heroes and Villains When I was a kid, I had a bad combination. Little shrimpy body, oversized head for my ill-concealed genius, and a big mouth. And it was this big mouth and my bad temper that got me in trouble. And it got the shit kicked out of me on a semi-regular basis.

What Does It Mean to Be a Geek?
In order to properly answer the question what does it mean to be a geek? one must first define the word "geek." There are, of course, a few different definitions for it. Not to mention, to be a geek can mean something completely different for everyone who identifies as one, thus making it more personal to oneself.

Can Our Entertainment Be Modified?
As a fellow westerner (North American a.k.a. Canadian) I can confirm that we are cursed with a short attention spans and get bored rather quickly. Which then kind of explains why our entertainment industry is filled with the shock value factor. It keeps us on edge, interested, and wanting more. We can known to be obsessed with shows like Game of Thrones, Breaking Bad, and The Walking Dead which have all taken part in heated sex scenes, twisted and gruesome deaths, and heavy use of drugs. I will not sit here and say I am a saint, I’ve watched all and thoroughly enjoyed them…excluding The Walking Dead. I never saw the need to deprive myself of sleep since I’m not a big fan of zombies. The others I did enjoy, though, and it unfortunately comes down to the fact of how my attention was demanded and it was by pure and utter shock.

The Quinner Takes It All: Harley Quinn Smith Wants To Play Young Dr. Quinzel In 'Gotham City Sirens'
While last year's shambles that was Suicide Squad may have been a bit of a hand buzzer to the planned Harley Quinn solo film, the idea of the newly announced Gotham City Sirens instead opens up a whole world of feminine ferociousness. #MargotRobbie was clearly a standout of #SuicideSquad, but just imagine the carnage she could cause on a girl's night out and all the butchery from the #GothamCitySirens limited-run #comicbook. Moving from page to screen, obviously Robbie will reprise her role as the Maid of Mischief, while names like Megan Fox and Mila Kunis have been thrown into the mix to play Harley's playmates Poison Ivy and Catwoman.

Pokemon is a Huge Part of My Life
Pokemon has been around for almost 22 years now (Being released in Japan on February 27th, 1996) and it has been a huge part of my life since I was about 7, when I got my first Pokemon game (Pokemon Blue, October 10th 1998). At first, I struggled because I couldn't read (Since I had Global Developmental Delay or GDD for short) and got lost in places like Mount Moon. When I asked a good friend of mine for help he suggested I look at the guidebooks (Which was ironic since I couldn't read at the time). But I wanted to make progress in the game that much, that I forced myself to learn to read (Which at the time was a higher grade level than my grade, although I still struggled to read anything else though). I feel if it were not for Pokemon, my reading level would be lower than it is now. I remember watching the anime any chance I got, I would always wonder what great adventures Ash and the gang would get up to this time, I also remember going to Pokemon the first movie, being shocked when Ash turned to stone and in awe when all the Pokemon's tears brought him back to life. I also remember getting the free Mewtwo promo card (When I was eight years old that was awesome to get). It could also get me into trouble too...There was a time where a friend of mine (Let's just call him Jeff) and I were right into a Pokemon Battle (Third Generation, either Ruby, Sapphire or Emerald) and a mutual friend of ours said it was time to go to the Learning centre (All three of us had Specials needs). We ignored him so we could finish the battle (Which took us only a minute or so longer). We were like two minutes late and we got an earful from the Teachers Aide. I remember playing Pokemon on long car rides, one instance was when my aunt and I were going to Halifax for a back appointment for me (I have Scoliosis) and I was battling Whitney (who remembers that Which and her Cow). I was talking about that to my aunt for half the car ride. I also remember battling Jeff on long rides to the fair, I believe I always lost. It was because of Pokemon that I started my Youtube channel (Jazz Umbre). My first Let's Play was Pokemon Crystal Wedlocke. I remember the quality was crappy, I remember all the time it took, I remember all my Pokemon's deaths, but most of all I remember all the fun I had with it. I got back into collecting Pokemon cards recently too, I do card openings often. I made many Youtube friends through our mutual love of Pokemon (I remember the first time I met Nman64, he commented on my Pokemon FireRed let's play, we've been friends since). I enjoy many PokeTubers like Marriland, TheKingNappy, Herovoltsy, MandJTV Pokevids and many more. Pokemon has made many games over the years, some of my favorite games had come from the series, ( Such as Pokemon Colosseum/XD Gale of darkness, The Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Series, Pokemon HeartGold/SoulSilver). I make it a tradition to get the main series Pokemon games when they come out, which means I am most likely going to get a Nintendo switch. Pokemon has been a huge part of my life; it is a part of who I am. I don't know where my life would be without it, I don't even want to know. Thank you, Pokemon for truly being there.

'The Dark Knight' And 'Black Sails' — A Fascinating Combo For Exploring The Human Nature
Are we only as good as the world allows us to be? That question has refused to leave my head while following the stories of all the irresistibly varied and conflicted characters in Black Sails — a gritty depiction of the Golden Age of Piracy and a sort of prequel story to the classic Treasure Island book.

Everyone's Dressed Like You: How Seeing Yourself On TV Can Change Your Life
You feel alone. Maybe you know there's something wrong with you. Maybe you don't, but others think so, and tell you every day. Eventually it sinks in. You start to believe them, much more than you believe in yourself. You don't know why they want you to be something you're not, something you couldn't be even if you tried.

Do Not Mistake Composure For Ease: Invisible Illnesses, Power Metal and Star Trek
Living with a chronic illness or #disability is hard. It impacts every single area of your life. If you have one, you're probably at least always aware of it. It's not the kind of thing that goes away. (So, 'chronic.')
