Alone I sit, as my mind gently drifts, back onto our brighter days where we would run, and hunt, and hide, and grunt, at villagers who thought us strange

He sloshed through the puddles in the back alley as he trudged his way home. He never thought he'd end up stuck in a town like this. He glanced up at the shabby buildings around him squinting against the steady rain. They seemed to huddle together as their forms darkened in the dying light of the day. He sighed heavily. What a dump! He thought for the millionth time as he turned the corner at the end of the ally.

You don’t spend your life at the bottom of the sea and not learn a thing or two so when that notebook drifted down and landed on my head I knew there was a reason for it. I could have sloughed it off and continued my usual antics, but even if I’m not the most absorbent creature on the planet, this book with “Please Return” written across its front cover was trying to tell me something, but what? My mind, pondering the unfathomable depths of possibility, suddenly felt an overpowering need to find the book’s owner and return it to them! I let out an audible “whoa” realizing that I may never have come to this conclusion had it not been for that black notebook landing on my head.

I was determined to scream as loud as I could to attract attention. Just then I heard a familiar laugh. I looked up to see my stupid boyfriend, Justin, laughing at me.

It is the 20th April 2021. Tom Hanks, for it is he, is sitting at his typewriter composing a Pulitzer Prize winning treatise on the meaning of symbols on typewriter keyboards. The stack of completed pages sits on his fine wooden desk, taller only than his bouffant hair which has not been cut in two months due to social distancing measures. Suddenly the telephone on Tom Hanks’ desk rings ominously. He lifts the receiver with the feeling that this call will be anything but ordinary, and is greeted by a mysterious voice in an accent that he cannot quite place. ‘Is this... Tom Hanks,’ the voice asks, seeming both near and far away at the same time. “Mister Hanks - Do you know of Dante’s ‘Ring of Fire’?”

History of Darkseid The great demon, Darkseid is an ancient being thought to be the demon who first introduced the dark side of the Force to mortals. His name and existence were lost to the Sith for eons. The ancient religion of narcissistic practitioners lost interest in the roots of the dark side, and only recognize it and not its origins. Darkseid dwells on a shadowy plane of the Abyss, not known or ever recorded. There he has hidden and remained, tormenting souls of those he has imprisoned. It has been ages since any new Sith recognized him and devoted their souls and existence to him. Their attention and worship had become warped inward on themselves, and the desire of ‘unlimited power’ from the dark side of the Force. The Force, a non-sentient power flowed through the universe and was always recognized for either what it was or by another name such as ‘luck.’ He had been forgotten. The dark side was only recognized as a non-sentient power, like the Force, which it was. But the demon that introduced the dark side to mortals was not given credit where credit was due. Darkseid had grown enraged over the ages. He has not visited the plane of mortals, the Prime Material Plane in so long that his worshipers have become non-existent and the divine power he once wielded, was gone.

Time. It’s complex and indefinite. It’s also an illusion. The past, present, and future are equally realistic in it’s own way. The real question that we all struggled to answer is the possibility to travel through time. Is it possible to travel forward and backwards? To the past and the future? A young man named William made the impossible, possible, and this is his story.

Plenty of people know that I have a strong love for Harry Potter. A love so strong that can actually be considered to be a mild obsession. The more that I've read and re-read the series, the more curious I became about exactly how such an amazing story could become so wildly popular. I wondered how it began. Initially, I learned that the author, J.K Rowling, actually came up with this story as a single mother and was going through some pretty hard times throughout her life. It tugged at my heart, to say the least, and undoubtedly made me love her writing even more. However, given that I am obsessed, my thirst for information regarding this magical world that has held me so captivated for so many years drove me to further research. I wanted to learn as much as I absolutely could about this author. It would surprise her fans and loyal readers to know exactly what I've found out. J.K Rowling did not, in fact, create this story while sitting in a coffee shop with her young child. In fact, the story is much more extraordinary than even I had expected.

Most people, well everyone I should hope, knows the story “The Wizard of Oz”. You know, the country Kansas girl with her dog? Big twister? Lands in a magical place “Somewhere Over the Rainbow”? Yada, yada, yada, you get the idea! Anyway, this isn’t her story, it’s mine, and I can already tell you that my story is far more exciting than hers. Ladies and gents, my name is Sabrina Nichols, and this is the story of how I died in Oz. Yes, you heard me, I died in Oz. This means of course I went to Oz, okay look let me just tell you the story and it’ll all be clear.

“The world is allowed to be crazy. I think I have always known that. I’ve known that the universe doesn’t always make sense, but that’s okay. For me things always made sense in her smile. The chaos pouring down on me supplied by the surrounding universe was irrelevant, I was grounded in her eyes. People like to compliment people by saying things like “they were a ball of sunshine” or “their smile could light up a room”. But to me she was none of those things. To me, if I had to describe her I would say she was like a job interview. An interview that by the end had you walking away with an offer. You were nervous just thinking about her. You were on edge waiting for her presence and when you were finally in it you tried with everything you had to come off as the best version of yourself. But that is exactly what she made you, the best version of yourself. Just like in that interview you always wanted to make your best impression and your wardrobe got it’s chance to shine. As if she required a resume just to hang out with her she made you see every major accomplishment in your life and display it like a badge of honor. She made you see your best self. Each moment felt like fate. Like everything in your past was your work history. Preparing you and getting you ready for this moment, but you knew that what was just beyond this moment was something so much better than you had ever experienced. She was my dream job , experiencing her presence was like an interview, and every time she agreed to see me again was like receiving the job offer. She felt like turning your life around… I know most people in this world look up to those saving lives, but I didn’t. I looked up to her. And I can think of nothing more heroic in this universe than the way she carried herself… Than the way she carried me. I miss her everyday. I loved her… I still love her. I hope whoever has this can find her… In somebody else. In yourself. It doesn’t matter, just please find her. This world is crazy, and it is allowed to be that. But without her, crazy or not, this world is not worth it.”
