How B.A.P.S. Became a Cult Classic
26 years ago, before she was an Academy Award winner, Halle Berry and Natalie Dess-Reid play as two best friends going to Beverly Hills to make their dreams come true. Right around the time the film premiered in 1997, the film received bad reviews until it gained popularity from the black community making it a cult classic. This is how B.A.P.S. became a cult classic.

General Hospital Spoiler: Is Cyrus Renault setting up Drew Cain to die in Pentonville?
Is Drew going to die in Pentonville? General Hospital viewers have been waiting on a credible update on the status of Cameron Mathison as Drew Cain. Spoilers are teasing that the character may leave the soap and that he could die in Pentonville. This would eventually clear a path for Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) to reunite with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard). Jackie Zeman who portrayed Carly's mom Bobbie Spencer passed away in May so her death will at some be dealt with onscreen and Carly will be devastated. With Drew in prison, she may find herself leaning on Sonny who had some closure with his former mother-in-law a few months back.

General Hospital Spoilers: Will Bobbie's death bring Lucas back to Port Charles and give Carly the answer she needs?
How will Bobbie's death affect her children? General Hospital viewers have been patiently waiting for the ABC soap to do a tribute episode to Jackie Zeman who portrayed Barbara Jean "Bobbie" Spencer for 4 decades. Zeman passed away in mid-May from cancer but her death has not yet been addressed on the air. Zeman had some last great moments on the ABC soap but a tribute episode would be fitting. Several spoilers are suggesting that once her death has been announced there will be a memorial service and afterward something beneficial may come from her demise.

Broken Promises - "Secret Invasion" Episode Two
The central theme of Marvel Studio’s Secret Invasion second episode is the failure to live up to one’s promises. Behind Gravik’s attempts to overthrow the human population of Earth and make it into a new home for the Skrulls is his disillusionment with Nick Fury’s promise to find them a new homeworld. The question being posed, though, is does that justify Gravik’s actions (which I would resoundingly say it doesn’t). Episode Two of Secret Invasion, titled “Promises”, drops a number of big reveals on the audience, some of which will have big ramifications as the series progresses.

General Hospital fans are confused over Kin Shriner's status on the show
What's going on with Kin Shriner? In mid-May, Kin Shriner said he had been let go from his role as Scott Baldwin on General Hospital, and some of his fans were devastated. They flooded social media with regrets and anger that the GH execs would do such a thing. Scott is a legacy character who has been on the soap off and on since 1977 and is also a fan favorite. Other viewers, however, said this might only be a temporary exit based on the actor's past recent history with the ABC series.

Review: The Little Mermaid 2023
*Unlike some of my readers, I was alive during the Disney Rennaissance, so I'm specifying 2023... I've already posted about Disney Live Action Remakes in general, so I won't be rehashing the differences between Live Action and Animation again here. I might touch on it occasionally, as additional context, but if that's what you're looking for, go click the link below.

Villainess Review: Rose (A Mother's Sacrifice)
It surprises me that this film, similar to 2004's Deception, didn't air on Lifetime, because the feel is definitely there. I watched this on Tubi because I'm trying to finally whittle down my vast list on there (I have it down to 12 movies), and this movie truly delivered. A Mother's Sacrifice centered on Kathrin Beck, a divorced mother of a teenage daughter, Josey Beck, and we quickly see that it's an "oil and water" relationship between those two. A heated argument that some can attribute to teenage angst, but afterwards, Kathrin's attempt to contact Josey results in Kathrin hearing distress from Josey.
