The Unrivaled Art in “Goodnight Punpun”. Content Warning.
I recently revisited one of my favorite book series of all time, Goodnight Punpun. And it was phenomenal. Goodnight Punpun is a very important series to me. Despite how dark and desolate the series is, it actually really helped me overcome a very hard time in my life. It’s one of those literary experiences that leaves you unable to do anything but feel, for better or worse, and I really appreciated its brutal humanity. It helped me come to terms with some of the trauma I was dealing with in my own life at the time I read it. It drove me to take action against my actively negative emotions and outlook on the world around me.

Flash (2023) Rewritten
The Goal I will re-write the script of The Flash by making subtle changes to the details of events. I will only alter the film based on logic and 1 major change: Barry Allen acts with intelligence. I will keep continuity with the other films in the DCEU that were established to be canon with the original film. I will work within the confines of the original’s ideas and established rules. For example, I’m not going to just say the Speed Force can’t do something the film obviously shows it can do. I will also attempt to put as many fun story beats and cameos from the original into the new version to show that such goals could have been achieved through logical means.

It has been a week since the end of not only Tolerance Is Extinction, but also the first season of the new X-Men series, X-Men '97. Yes, it has been confirmed the show will not be left on a cliffhanger, but will have at least a second season with a presently unknown premiere date. Thank goodness, because X-Men '97 is by far one of the best iterations of the X-Men to date, and no, that is not my biased opinion. Rotten Tomatoes has the show on the list of Best TV Shows for May 2024 with a 99% on the Tomatometer, surpassing its predecessor by 16%.

X-Men '97
X-Men ‘97 has been praised for more than just its nostalgia factor. Its classic writing and impressive reflection of the source material made fans declare this one of the MCU’s best projects. They filled a desperate gap as fans have been asking for the X-Men for about a decade now. I do believe their only mistake was how short this season was. With the newest declaration of Marvel Animation being assigned its own division of the MCU (which is always how it's worked by the way. There is no world that exists where tv, film and animation were done by the same people. It was always separate; the declaration does nothing but prove the public’s lack of knowledge about the industry.) We will hopefully see some more X-Men in the coming years. So here we are with the X-Men ‘97 finale.

X-Men
When we last left our X-Men my sweet sweet Gambit was DEAD, somebody better fix that. Charles is alive and heading back to earth. I love that we are getting more Kurt. And my Storm has her powers back and she knows what happened to Genosha so theoretically she is headed back to the X-Men. The last couple of episodes were extremely emotional so I am hoping for a bit of a break but we now have to deal with the aftermath of Gambit’s death so we will see how that goes.

When we last left X-Men ‘97 lots of shit went down. Genosha and therefore the mutants were admitted into the UN. They are trying to convince us that Rogue and Magneto are a thing (which is super gross by the way) and we are still missing Storm. This now marks the halfway point for the 10 episode season.
