We Need to Talk About Netflix's 'Lost in Space' Costumes...
Despite expecting Netflix's remake of Lost in Space to be cheesy and potentially like an "after-school-special," I jumped at the chance to fill the black hole-sized void in my space-based, science fiction media with something new.
Rae LindenbergPublished 5 years ago in Geeks Perfect Gifts for Book Lovers
In On Writing: A Memoir of the Craft, Stephen King wrote, "Books are a uniquely portable magic." And books have cast their spells on many hearts and minds. I, myself, am such a victim, and I could not be happier. Both reading and writing books transports me to places far away, introducing me to different experiences that I could never hope to live myself.Chances are, if you aren't a book lover yourself, you know a book lover, and you may be at a loss as to what to buy them—aside from more books, of course, and buying another person a book that you hope they will enjoy can be a daunting task. Or maybe you are a book lover and you want to show the world!
Crysta CoburnPublished 5 years ago in GeeksDr. Martens and Tarantino
If you have ever bought a pair of Dr Martens shoes (or boots) you know where this comparison is going. Both invoke this sense of carelessness and hipness, that is at the same time trendy and above any trend. Timeless classics with characteristics easily identifiable and that have carved their place in Pop culture and the common conscience. Not to mention that either invoke a certain type of edginess that is both too mature for its own good but equally young and youthful, a bit like punk or rock movements.
Tomás BrandãoPublished 5 years ago in GeeksMy Top 5 Geeky Shirts
Wearing geeky shirts are a way to express who I am. In my early 20s, I started to wear them and by the time I turned 30, I had over two dozen shirts. Many people ask me why I wear them and the reasons are obvious: they fit and I love them. I plan to continue wearing geeky shirts forever. On social media, I use #geekyshirtfriday to post which shirt I'll be wearing every Friday. One week it would be a Nintendo shirt and the following week, it would be a Power Rangers shirt. It all depends on the type of mood I'm in. I'm going to share my five best geeky shirts. Hope you enjoy this wonderful list.

Cartoon GlobalPublished 6 years ago in GeeksAren't You 'Con'vinced? Why 'Con Air' Is The Greatest '90s Action Film
The flowing long hair of #NicolasCage, Steve Buscemi creepily clutching a doll, and Danny Trejo as the ruthless rapist. What sounds like a gritty HBO's True Detective Season 3 is in fact 1997's Con Air. Just two years after America started the Justice Prisoner and Alien Transportation System, Simon West's film about an aircraft full of convicted criminals is almost unrivalled in its brilliance as a '90s action flick. Alongside the likes of Cliffhanger, True Lies, and of course Cage's stint in Face/Off, Con Air is smothered in a generous helping of Blockbuster Video cheese.

Matt CatesPublished 7 years ago in GeeksBEING AN INTROVERT is the Flashy New Outfit You Want to Show Off Out on the Town
Fashion experts predict that the number one standout look this season is being an introvert. You've probably noticed the hordes of articles with subjects like "how people don't understand introverts" and "how to treat introverts" and "why introverts are better than those filthy annoying and mundane extroverts that are so 2000s."

Exposing the KK... Let’s be honest, the Kardashians and Jenners are no strangers to the appropriation of any of the cultures of the world. It seems that their favorite location of cultural appropriation appears to be sourced in Black Culture. From their "boxer braids" aka corn-rows, full lips via injections, dreadlocks, Bantu knots, and a long list of wrongfully credited "trends" and their lifeless imagination they may finally get exposed for their undeserved fame.
