Sophia is back on Days of Our Lives

Days of Our Lives fans have been saying for five months that they don't believe Sophia Choyi (Rachel Boyd) is dead, and it appears they are right. A preview for next week shows someone who looks like Sophia going by a different name and working as a waitress.

Several spoilers have confirmed this is the Salem bad girl but where is she and how did she get there? Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) is in the diner and calls the young woman Sophia, which raises many questions.

How did Ms. Choi survive being hit over the head with a large rock and thrown in the water? Did someone outside of Salem find her and take her in? Does she have amnesia, or is she pretending and hiding out under a different name?

The Salem PD searched long and hard for Sophia but did not locate her body, and she was presumed dead. Did the cold water wake her and was she able to swim away?

How did she get hired as a waitress without a valid ID? Did someone find her, take pity on her and feed and cloth her and give her the job? How did Kristen locate her?

Did Ms. DiMera have a change of heart and send her henchmen to fish Sophia out of the water? Has she been secretly keeping tabs on her all along since th May 1 episode?

Will Ms. Choi return to Salem, and will she be blackmailed into keeping Kristen's secrets? Could her mental health diagnosis send her back to Bayview Sanitarium?

Mason Whitfield (Brandon Butler) revealed that he often counseled Sophia on a crisis hotline. He has been hostile to Holly Jonas (Ashley Puzemis) and blames her for Sophia's "suicide." When he began talking about the troubled teen, some DOOL fans wondered if she might turn up soon.

Some spoilers are already saying that Sophia will be as nasty as ever, but what will she do? She already wrote a suicide note blaming Holly. Will she continue to lie and cause problems, or will she turn on Kristen?

In the promo, Sophia is talking with a deep southern accent, and her hairstyle is not the same, which suggests she is trying to hide her identity. On the other hand, if she does not know who she is, this might be her new style.

Holly and Tate Black (Leo Howard's) exits are coming soon. Could Sophia's return be what prompts them to leave Salem? Kristen does not want to be charged with attempted murder, so if Sophia's memory is fuzzy, Ms. DiMera might supply false information.

This is one of those wait-and-see situations because spoilers have not supplied any credible information. Days of Our Lives fans will have to watch carefully to learn whether all questions about Sophia's return are answered.

This news may also rattle Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) and Chanel DiMera (Raven Bowens), and they might fear for Trey DiMera (Joseph Ihlenf (or Ihlenfeld) and Jordan Perdue).

Sophia tried to blow Johnny up and should still face consequences, even if she needs therapy. Sophia switched Holly's pills and sedated Rachel Black (Lorelei Mote) in her scheme. There will be too many people who want her to pay so she may not receive a get out of jail free card.

Once Johnny, Chanel, Tate, and Holly are no longer in Salem, who will there be for Sophia to torment? It's not known if Sophia Boyd is back on contract or will only be around long enough to wrap up loose ends. Stay tuned to Days of Our Lives to watch this storyline play out.
