Dongfang Shuo poured wine to eliminate the problem: the resentment turned into a scourge, Han Wu's imperial carriage could not be before, several draughts of muddy wine to settle the grudge

When Emperor Wu was on a tour of the East, his car was blocked by a monster when he was about to leave the Hangu Pass. The monster was shaped like a cow, several feet tall, with a pair of green eyes, the eyes glittering, bright and dazzling. The cow's limbs and hooves did not enter the ground, has been in place. Look at moving, in fact, not moving at all places. When the officials accompanying him saw the monster blocking the road, they all felt very scared in their hearts, but only Dongfang Shuo did not change his face. The monster disappeared after a dozen draughts of wine were poured into it.

Afterward, Emperor Wu asked Dongfang Shuo how he knew that the monster could be eliminated with wine. The monster's name was 'Suffering', and it was created by the Qi of depression and inequality. The place where the monster was standing before was either a prison for criminals or a barracks for laborers during the Qin Dynasty. Wine has the effect of relieving sorrow, so the monster will disappear automatically after drinking a sufficient amount of wine." Han Wu Di smiled and said with emotion: "Ai Qing is knowledgeable, even such remote knowledge is known."

The first time I saw the movie, I was very impressed by it. Therefore, although Dongfang Shuo was too high up in the officialdom, he was often taken around by Emperor Wu to chat and relieve his boredom because he could talk. The legendary achievements of Dongfang Shuo were significantly better than his real-life political achievements, and there are numerous legends about him.

This article is one of them. When Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty traveled to the Hangu Pass, he passed by the site of the Qin Dynasty prison before crossing the pass. Due to the excessive number of sinners previously imprisoned, the sorrowful qi of these sinners was transformed and coalesced into a "suffering" beast, which blocked Emperor Wu's way westward. By using the property of "wine to forget sorrow", Dongfang Shuo successfully showed his ability to exorcise the demons and remove the monsters in front of Emperor Wu's imperial court. Emperor Wu expressed his appreciation for the knowledge of Dongfang Shuo. There are also legends about Dongfang Shuo, such as Stealing Peaches from the Peach Garden, Goodness Quosho, and After the Robbery, all of which are humorous stories about Dongfang Shuo and his quick wisdom. If there was a trolling conference during the Han Dynasty, Dongfang Shuo could not be said to be sitting in the C-position, but he could also be said to be in charge of the laughs.

The original text: Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty was traveling east, and before he got out of the Huang Pass, there was something on the road. The body length of several feet, its shape like a cow, green eyes and Yao's eyes, four feet into the earth, moving and not migrating. The officials were shocked. Dongfang Shuo asked him to fill it with wine. Dozens of draughts were poured and the thing disappeared. The emperor asked why and replied: "This is called a disaster, and is born of worry. This must be the prison place of Qin, otherwise, it is a gathering of sinners in vain. The wine forgets the worry, so it can eliminate it." The emperor said, "Oh! Museum of the scholar, to this!"

Disclaimer: "The Book of the Searching God" is a novel written by the Eastern Jin historian Gan Bao (? -During this time, Chinese mythology has been a process of evolution and completion, and the characters depicted in the book are inevitably different from the mainstream images of today. Therefore, this article is mainly a reading note on the original text of Sojinji, with the translation of the original text and complementary brainstorming. Due to my limited knowledge, the translation of some vocabulary is inevitably not accurate, and my understanding of some of the characters' stories in the text is not too comprehensive outside of the book of Sojin, so I am inevitably omitted in the narration.
