Vikram initially dismisses these beliefs as superstition.

But Shambhala is hiding something much older than the meteorite itself.

What Happens After the Meteorite Falls?

The strange events begin around the same time that the meteorite crashes near Shambhala.

She then isolated herself inside a cave and dedicated herself to prayer, effectively turning her own body into a prison for the evil force.

Over time, she died there.

But the entity remained sealed away.

The impact damages the ancient underground structure and releases the imprisoned evil once again.

Who Is Devi Really?

One of Shambhala’s biggest twists concerns Devi.

But near the climax, he discovers something shocking.

There is no ordinary woman named Devi living in the village.

When Vikram tries to prove that she exists, Chitra identifies Devi with the deity worshipped inside the village temple.

The woman Vikram has been speaking with is connected to Rajarajeshwari/Shambhala Devi herself.

She has appeared to guide Vikram because the meteorite not only released the evil force but also disturbed the sacred power that had once contained it. The film explicitly reveals that the Devi Vikram has been seeing is the village deity.

Why Is Chitra So Important?

Eventually it enters Chitra, Hanumanthu’s daughter.

The biggest revelation is that Devi was never simply another villager helping Vikram. She represents the divine force connected to the village’s history and guides him toward the truth.

And the climax delivers the movie’s central message: defeating darkness does not always require destroying the person consumed by it.
