Is Cassius Faison still alive?

Is he or isn't he, is the burring question for fans of Ryan Peavey and his part in the current action in Port Charles. Some General Hospital viewers and spoilers believe his character Cassius Faison is still alive but no one is saying for certain. Let's examine the facts we have at this point.

Andrew Hawkes who portrayed Ross Cullum has acknowledged that his character is dead and his run on the ABC soap is over. This story has been covered in multiple news outlets so there is no doubt.

Unfortunately, some fake news sites are posting on Facebook that Cullum may still be alive. Hawkes revealed his character was supposed to die when he was shot by Rocco Falconeri (Finn Carr) but they liked his work and he remained on the soap and his time is now over.

What did Ryan Peavey say?

Ryan Peavey has not given an official statement about the fate of the fake Nathan. There are rumors that the actor is making a movie and will be back once filming but this has not been verified.

Peavey joined the General Hospital cast in 2013 and left his role as Nathan West in 2018 and began appearing in Hallmark movies. He left the entertainment industry citing industry burnout, betrayal, people not keeping their word and financial challenges including stolen investments.

During his time away from the entertainment industry he assisted his brother with his food business, and cared for his mother who had cancer. He also focused on his apparel business and jewelry line.

Peavey left Hallmark for Great American Family

Although he did not say so, some fans believe his problems came from Hallmark because he had already left General Hospital but returned and is no longer making Hallmark films.

The actor has now taken the route of other former Hallmark stars like Jen Lily and Candis Cameron Bure. He has joined the Great American Family Network. His first GAM film titled Christmas at Moose Creek will premiere for the 2026 holiday season.

Clues about Cassius and his fate

After the gun battle, Z, (John Oliver) the head of the WSB checked Cassius for a pulse before giving assistance to Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy). When Joss later asked him about Cassius he hesitated before answering that Faison's son did not survive.

Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) told Lucas Jones (Van Hansis ) that the fake Nathan's situation was classified which means the truth is being hidden from the public. Now that Joss has turned mercenary Cassius will be considered a traitor rather than the hero he really is.

Joss believes she is giving up Cassius as the fall guy to secure the release of Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) and Jason Morgan (Steve Burton). Some fans say Z manipulated Joss into saving the image of the WSB.

Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) and Britt Westbourne will be stunned at this turn of events, especially of Joss blames Cassius for Britt falsely thinking she had Huntington's disease.

The fallout will be huge

This situation is a big mess but if Cassius is still alive it will be worse. If the WSB is holding him somewhere as he recovers they would not want him back in Port Charles to tell the truth.

General Hospital writers could always tweak things for Obrecht's son to return but for now he is presumed deceased and in the hands of the WSB. The silence from Peavey is a contrast to Hawkes telling fans how much he enjoyed his time on the show.

Fans looking for answers about Ryan Peavey returning to General Hospital should be careful of articles, reels and posts with sensational headlines and look for updates from reliable sources.
