Road House 2024 Review: Super Boring, Super Disappointing

Currently, this year's much-awaited action drama film, Road House, has been released on Prime Video. First of all, let me tell you that this is a remake version of the 1989 Road House film, which I have not seen. If anyone has seen it, please tell me how much potential and power it has.

My reason for watching this remake version is simple: Jake Gyllenhaal. When I came to know that Jake Gyllenhaal was going to be a part of this film, a desire arose in me to watch him.

And if we talk about the issue, then you will have to spend two hours of time watching this picture. It is available on Prime Video, but remember, do not watch this picture with your family because adult scenes and a lot of brutality are present here.

Absolutely! The Hindi dubbing of the movie was fantastic. The dialogue matched the characters perfectly, making it even more enjoyable to watch.

The story is about Dalton, who used to fight in UFC matches. But now, he works as a bouncer because of some problems he faced.

Dalton's job is to keep things calm and handle rowdy customers.

And during her job, scandals start happening with Dalton. To know the twists and turns, you will have to watch this picture.

Road House 2024 Review

To be very honest with you, if I define this picture for you all in one word: disappointed, yes, as much as I had expected from this picture, as much as I was excited to see it, this picture disappointed.

Now, why am I saying this? Before commenting on it, let me tell you some good things, and then we will end the topic on a negative note. So the first thing that is good about this picture is its action. You will get to see very good action, so if you are an action lover, then this movie is no less than a treat for you.

Secondly, what I liked was the camera work. All the action shots that are seen according to the time in which the camera has been used are interesting to watch.

Third, Jack Gyllenhaal's performance is tremendous; his character will keep you glued to the entire picture. And one more thing, I would say that the locations, cinematography, or BGM of the picture are all also good.

Negatives

So now if we talk about problems, then the biggest problem of this picture is its story, which is very simple and also very predictable and does not offer anything new to the audiences.

Characters are also disappointing, meaning you will not be able to connect with any character; neither their history or mystery is explained nor any energy is felt in them, due to which you can enjoy them. There is hardly any character who will be able to impress you.

I found the characters a bit dull or odd. It felt like they were chosen without much thought or enthusiasm.

Coming to the next thing, the first hour of the movie is completely dull or boring, and you will not get to see anything exciting, which will force you to watch the second half.

And yes, there is a lot of lack of substance in the screenplay of the movie, due to which it will not be able to engage you. Also, issues from all over the world are present in this movie.

Conclusion

Now, without commenting on too many negatives, let me give you two simple reasons in case you are planning to watch the Road House 2024 movie. First of all, if you are a fan of Jack Gyllenhaal, then do not forget to switch off your brain while watching this movie, or secondly, if you are an action drama lover, then you can definitely watch this picture for action.

Apart from these two reasons, I do not have any big reason to recommend you watch this movie.

In my view, this was a completely flop experience, which will not only waste the time of the fans but will also disappoint them. I liked only a little action in this picture; otherwise, I did not like this picture at all.
