Mount Olympus has grown dark and decrepit. Black dead-looking vines grow all over the walls. Typhon slithers through the halls and enters the main hall. Thanatos sit upon his throne with his arm resting on the arm of the chair and his fist under his chin, as though holding his head up. His pointer finger on his left hand taps on the other arm of the throne. Typhon stops a few feet in front of Thanatos and bows.

"You Summoned me, lord Thanatos?". Typhon asks slowly peaking his head up to see how Thanatos would react. Thanatos stops tapping his finger. Thanatos slowly stands up, black smoke swirling around his feet as he walks away from the throne and stands in front of Typhon. "So I understand that you've failed again, Typhon.". Thanatos says coldly as his eyes narrow, rage is filled in them. Typhon slowly backs away a few feet, bowing even lower to the floor.

"I do apologize, my lord." Typhon says, fear and anxiety heard is his voice. "Hades is proving to be much more of a challenge than is expected. Especially considering how long he has been surviving without losing any strength at all. It's quite remarkable really....". A scythe blade stabs the ground next to Typhon's head with a loud smash. Typhon trembles and slowly looks over and see's the ground is caved in a little from the attack.

Typhon then slowly looks up and see Thanatos now completely covered in black smoke. Typhon slams his head to the ground and begs for his life. "My lord, please! We are doing everything we can to hunt him down. He will show up! He always.....". Thanatos reaches out his hand towards Typhon and black smoke quickly lashes out, grabbing Typhon by the throat and throwing him across the hall.

"And when he does show up again, what would be your plan? How many creatures have you tried throwing at him and they all fail?". He slowly walks forward, approaching Typhon. "The gorgons? The Sphinx? Even the Harpies could not do anything against him. Which I will say proves that he must still be getting power from the underworld somehow. But still...." Thanatos stops in front of Typhon, who is panting on the floor slowly getting up. Thanatos stretches his right hand out to his side and his scythe flew to his hand. He spins it around and places the blade under Typhon's chin. "I can only accept so much failure, Typhon. I told you not to make me think you aren't useful." Thanatos stares at Typhon for a few seconds as Typhon shudders in fear. The scythe disappears and Thanatos turns around, walking back to the Throne. "Consider this your last chance. If i do not get at least one god's soul within the next moon cycle", Thanatos sits on the throne. "You will be separated from your head and I will feed it to the Cerberus. o you understand?" The words echo through the hall as Typhon nods his head and bows again.

"I do my lord. It will be done" Typhon states. Thanatos nods and slumps back, leaning his back against the back of the throne. "Good. Now, any updates. Have we been able to find any of them?" Typhon Stand up and slithers forward. he stops in front of the throne again. "We have located another possible god them may have survived the purge." Thanatos tilts his head to the side, curious of what he just heard. "Really? Who could that be, i wonder.". Typhon continues. "From what I've gathered, It seems to be one of the 12.". Thanatos eyes widen then narrow as a smile stretches across his mouth. "Very interesting. Very well. Do we know where this god may be?

Typhon nods. "Through the centuries, the humans have spread all across the world.". Typhon holds out his hand and white smoke appears in his hand. It takes the shape of earth. It spins slowly and stops, the view hovering over England. "They seem to have settled on the small island creating the nation of "England" I believe. One of my agents there has been causing some havoc and has ran into the god a few times. He is still determining which it is.". Thanatos holds his hand out and the globe floats to his hand. He stares Intently at it. Then looks at Typhon. " Tell him the time table. And that he will share the same fate as you should he fail.". Thanatos closes his hand around the globe and it fizzles through his fingers. "Typhon bows. "Right away, my lord.". Typhon turns and lithers out of the hall.

Chapter 4

On earth, in England, it is 1892. Fear runs throughout the city as the ripper murders have plagued the city of London. Women do their best to stay off the streets at night and Policemen patrol every corner. A human figure in a trench coat with a bowler hat wanders the street, peering down the alleyways as though searching for someone. Two policemen notice the figure and approach it. The figure notices another shadowy figure down an alleyway. The policemen grab the person on the street and spins it around.

A woman's face is revealed by the policemen's lantern, wearing a light brown trench coat and bowler hat. The men instant stand to attention as they realize who it was. "Detective Athene! We apologize for the disruption. we did not know it was you!". Athene looks back quickly down the alleyway and the figure was gone. She straightens up her coat and salutes back the policemen. "It's alright gentlemen. I know we're all on edge with the ripper about. Anything to report?". The policemen drop there hands to their sides. "Nothing so far, mam. Been a quiet night so far. A little to quiet.". Athene nods and looks around the street as a slow fog begins to roll in.

"I agree. Be sure to keep your eyes open, gents. The night is young and the ripper is on the hunt.". Athene flips up her coat collar and begins to walk away. As the fog begins to envelope the area, loud footsteps of shoes on cobblestone can be heard. Athene and the policemen look at each other. They group up and stand back to back, rapidly looking around the street. The footsteps growing louder and louder with each step. Athene and the policemen pull out their revolvers and aim them out in front of them.

A white cloaked figure stand on a roof, looking down at the group standing in the street. It stares intently at Athene, curious about the woman detective. She looks down the street to see a tall dark man, wearing a black cloak with a top hat and carrying a cane, walking slowly through the fog. the white figure on the roof kneels down in wait to see what happens.

Athene and the policemen notice the man approaching and all aim their guns towards him. "Halt!" one of the policemen shout. "Do not take another step further! We are the police and will open fire!". Athene looks at the men and see's both their pistols shaking. They've been gripped with fear over all the stories and rumors they've heard about the ripper. The man continues to walk forward, not hesitating a step with the guns being pointed at him. "this is your final warning!", the other policeman shouts, " stop advancing or else..."

The man suddenly appears in front of the policeman shouting. the policeman gasps as he reaches towards his stomach and feels a blade in it. The man was holding a sword cane the was impaled through the policeman's stomach. Blood starts to flow out of the wound as the man pulls out the sword from the policeman's stomach. The other policeman turns to aim his gun at the man but by the time he turned, the ripper had thrown a knife at him. The knife impales the policeman through the heart and he falls to the ground.

Athene stands her ground from what she just witnessed. Athene raises her pistol and fires off two shots at the man. He falls back into the fog and disappears. She slowly advances to where the man was standing and see there's blood on the ground. She kneels down, takes out a white cloth from her pocket, and wipes the blood up off the ground with it. Strangely the blood seems to be a darker red than normal human blood. She takes off the glove and leaves it on the ground. "Well done, woman.", Jack the ripper says through the fog. "You are one of the first mortals to have wounded me, as small of an achievement as that is."

The statement confuses Athene as she rapidly looks all around in all directions, trying to zero in on where the voice is coming from. "Turn yourself in, Jack!", she shouts into the fog, trying to get a reaction from him or at least some sign of where he is. "You need help! I can get you help!" Jack answers. "I need no help from you mortal. You've helped me plenty enough....", Jack lunges from behind Athene, trying to thrust he sword into her back. The white cloaked figure lands behind Athene, the force of her landing clears out the fog in the immediate area. She lunges side steps next to Jack and kicks him in the stomach. Jack goes flying back several feet landing on his feet but falling to one knee, grabbing at his stomach. The white figure backs up standing between Jack and Athene.

"Your nights of terror end tonight, monster.", the white cloaked figure says. Jack takes a deep breath and stands up. "So it was one of the twelve here in London. Pleasure to be here to take you life, queen of the gods.". Hera removes her hood and cracks her knuckles. Athene stares in confusion at Hera and Jack. As she looks at Hera, she gets a feeling of familiarity from her. Like she's seen her before. A feeling of deja-vu overcomes her. "Was hoping it was one of the others," Jack says as he removes his hat, cloak, and jacket, "but you will have to do!". Jack begins to transform as his chest begins to expand. His muscles start convulsing as he grows several feet. "What the...", Athene stammers out as she stares on with Hera at the transformation. His shoes rip as his feet change into large black hoofs. His pants rip at the knees as his legs turn into bull-like hind legs. His head grows twice in size as horns grow from the top of his head and his face contorts to that of a bull.

A minotaur now stands tall where Jack the ripper was standing. Hera seems unnerved, ready to fight. Athene stares in awe and disbelief at what is happening. But again, she feels as though she's seen the monster before too. The minotaur drags it's foot against the ground and roars. it lowers it's head and charges at the Hera. "Move!" Hera shouts at Athene. Hera jumps over the minotaur as she covers the head of the monster with her cloak. Hera lands behind the monster, shown to be wearing a white tunic with gold chest armor and golden boots on her feet.

The minotaur continues charging. Athene jumps out of the way, just in time as the minotaur runs into a steel lamp post. Athene stares in shock as the minotaur shakes it's head and rips away the cloak. He glances at Hera with fire in it's eyes, but slowly looks at Athene. Hera rushes to Athene as the minotaur begins to rush at Athene. Hera tackles Athene as the Minotaur lunges forward at her.

The minotaur falls to the ground as the bident impales its left arm, pinning it to the ground. Hera gets up slowly, looking around to see where the bident came from. "Good to see you are still alive and well, dear sister." Hades says as he appears next to the minotaur, both hands on the bident pinning it to the ground. Hades is wearing a black top hat and wearing a black cape. "Thought I was one of the only one lefts from the purge." Hades pulls out the bident, spins it around to his side, and swings it at the side of the minotaur. The minotaur goes flying into a nearby building, shattering the wall. "Glad to see you, brother" Hera approaches Hades and holds out her hand. Hades grabs her arm and shakes it. "But you being here does not feel like a coincidence." Hades nods his head. "That would be correct, sister. I'm here," Hades looks at Athene, "for her"

Athene glances at Hades and Hera in disbelief. "You're here for me?", she says as she is still processing everything going on. "Who the bloody hell are you people?" Hera looks at her and then looks at Hades, as though understanding why he was there. "She's one of them?" Hera says as she points at Athene. Hades nods as he lifts his left sleeve, revealing the bracelet. He taps it and a gem flashes white. Hera looks back to Athene and stares at her in amazement. "Incredible! The goddess of wisdom herself.".

As they were talking the minotaur slowly walked out from the wall and locates the group. He Takes off running towards the group. Athene see the minotaur approaching. She feels a great surge of energy seeing the minotaur approaching people she somehow recognizes as family and friends. Hades looks down at his right hand and one of the beads glows white. Hades and Hera then look behind to see the minotaur upon them. Athene rushes past them and the white bead from Hades wrist flies off and transforms into Athena's shield. It flies into Athene's hand and she holds it in front of her.

Athene lunges forward with the shield and hits the minotaur in the chest. The minotaur goes flying back into the wall the minotaur emerged from as Athene pants out of breath from the rush of energy. She begins to fall to the ground and Hades catches her. He lays her to the ground gently and takes her shield, shrinking it back to a bead and places it back onto his beads on his wrist. Hades walks over to Hera. "Has that happened before?" Hera asks. "No," Hades says puzzled. "That's never happened before, But shows that they are getting stronger. But still,", Hades grabs his bident and it changes to a cane. "not strong enough to challenge him" Hades looks to Hera. "how are you dear sister? It has been some time since I've seen you.". Hera smiles at Hades. "Since my revolution against my husband, I believe." She slowly walks past him towards the body of the minotaur. "I've been well. Just surviving as always.", Hades join her. "How many others are there?" Hera inquires. ". Hades cracks his head to the side. "There are four others as far as I've seen."

Hera stops and looks at Hades. "Have you seen him yet?". Hades stops and faces Hera. "That is the strange part." Hades takes off his top hat and shakes his head. "I have yet to find Zeus through all these centuries I've been traveling." Hera looks worried. "What does that mean brother?". Hades put his top hat back on. "I'm not sure yet sister. It worries me greatly. But I can only focus on the here and now." Hera and Hades both glance at Athene. "And right now, I need to get her out of here and start training her."

Hera nods. "Agreed. Take her and go. I will deal with this body." Hera and Hades hug. "I hope to see you again soon, my queen." Hera smiles and kisses Hades on the cheek, She steps away. "Good to see you too my brother. May the fallen watch over you.". Hades walks over to Athene and picks her up. They both disappear. Hera approaches the minotaur's body and her hands begin to glow. The minotaur jumps up, surprising Hera, grabbing her head and headbutting her. Hera stumbles back. The minotaur follows through and impales her with his horn. Hera gasps and grabs at the horn impaling her stomach.

"Very nicely done.", A voice echoes from a nearby alleyway. Typhon emerges from the shadows and slithers towards the minotaur and Hera. The minotaur swings his head to the right and Hera's body flops to the ground, lifeless. Typhon approaches the body. "Lord Thanatos will be... most....". As Typhon gets closer, he recognizes the body of his mother. He stops next to Hera's body, scoops her up into his hands, and hugs her. Tears roll down his face. "Master?", the minotaur asked, confused. "Did I do...". A black dragon slithers and binds the legs of the minotaur. He falls to the ground as another dragon binds his arms. The minotaur glances rapidly everywhere at the horde of dragons surrounding him. He cries out in despair. "Master? Why?", he cries as the dragons swarm him and consume him. He screams echo out into the night as Typhon Embraces the lifeless body of his mother, crying.

Thanatos stands by the throne as Typhon enters the hall with Hera's body. Thanatos smiles, pleased at this as Typhon lays the boy in front of the throne. "Well done Typhon. Not the god i was looking for, but a god none the less." Thanatos exclaims as he walk up to the body and kneels next to it. "Leave.", Thanatos commands to Typhon, which he obeys. As Typhon leaves, a light brown light can be seen emanating from Heras body as Thanatos absorbs her soul.

One last tear falls from Typhons eye as he walks down the corridors of the dark fortress atop Olympus.
