Spoilers for The Walking Dead Season 7 follow.
The most recent episode of The Walking Dead took a break from Rick's group to focus on what Negan has been up to since Daryl escaped from the Saviors' compound. The episode, "Hostiles and Calamities," showed us the daily life of residents in Negan's Sanctuary, including its newest one: Eugene.
Eugene was taken captive by Negan in the mid-season finale of Season 7 and we hadn't seen him since. We now know that he's cooperating with Negan, but it's possible that Eugene is cleverly disguising his true motivations until the time comes for him to escape. But that may not take place for yet another week, as next week's episode appears to be "Richonne"-centric.
Sneak Peek for 'Say Yes' Hints at Rick Finding the Ammo He Needs for His Army
A couple sneak peeks into next week's episode, "Say Yes," tease Rick and Michonne finding some guns, possibly even a goldmine of heavy artillery.
Yes, the gun they've found is on the body of a walker, but a stockpile could be in the near vicinity. The scene appears to take place at an abandoned carnival that was likely used as a staging post for the military.
Rick notes how the soldiers who were camped out there dropped shells from high artillery weapons. He considers the possibility that those guns a around.
Seeing as how the soldier walker encountered by Rick and Michonne still had a rifle around his shoulder, it probably means an outbreak spread about the camp before anyone had an opportunity to gather up the guns and abscond. A stockpile could have been left untouched.
If so, that could leave a good supply of guns left for Rick and Michonne to take from the camp. The guns are also exactly what Rick needs to persuade Jadis' junkyard group to join their cause, being part of the agreement between Jadis and Rick.
What is Rick willing to risk to retrieve more guns?
Rick and Michonne still have to get the guns first, which might be more trouble than they expect. The promo for "Say Yes" depicts Rick in a tight situation.
Whatever the case may be, the two clips released for Episode 12 "Say Yes" appear to be hinting at Rick and Michonne finding a stockpile of weapons that they can use against Negan. If so, it puts Rick's group one step closer to ending Negan's regime.
