Ranneeti Review

So friends, after a very long time, a new show has come on JioCinema named Ranneeti, and it's paired with a new plan from Jio. So overall, how is this web series? Does it deserve your time or not? Let's find out.

Well, guys, Show Ranneeti is a show based on a real incident in which you get to see the story that the Indian Army was attacked, they were killed, and after that, what type of revenge was taken from them in the Bala court is shown here.

The show has nine episodes, each about 35 to 48 minutes long.

Ranneeti Web Series Review

Now if I want to review the show Ranneeti for you in a few words, then it's a decent one-time watchable.

See, even before this, I don't know how many times this story has been served on our plates, be it in the Fighter movie, Operation Valentine, or even recently in Rakshak Chapter 2, which came on miniTV. The same kind of story has been used in all of them.

Unlike other shows covering similar topics, Ranneeti sets itself apart by digging deeper into the story's events.

Yes, this is not a perfect show; it has loopholes, but because of the depth of things, I continued watching it.

First of all, you will not get to see any senseless comedy or nonsense tracks in the show. The show somehow follows its path right from the beginning. It is not that there is any love story going on in the meantime, any item song, or a forced comedy. All these things were on one side, and an attempt has been made here to present the main issue cut to the point.

The development of the characters is good; you will feel their journey, especially that of Jimmy Shergil, what phase he is going through, what happened to him in the meantime, and how he is trying to handle the situations.

The character of Jimmy Shergill was quite grounded, and nowadays some connection can be felt only with mostly grounded characters.

Nowadays, we can't relate to those larger-than-life superhero characters from the past. They seem outdated, almost like a joke, compared to the more grounded and realistic portrayals we see today.

In terms of actors' acting, let me tell you that the casting has been done in a very amazing way, meaning the actor chosen for every character is absolutely pitch perfect.

First of all, Jimmy Shergill is outstanding. I mean, he leaves no stone unturned in capturing the character and playing it, which he has shown in this show as well.

Apart from this, Ashutosh Rana is also in the show; no doubt he did a very good job. Lara Dutta is also a part of this show; she was also very good in her character. You will also see Ashish Vidyarthi, whose acting is also good.

And there is Satyajeet Dubey; he was also quite impressive.

If I talk about the production value of this show, it's okay. But because it's a web series, it doesn't have as much money as a big movie, so the VFX, especially in scenes with fighter planes, isn't that great. Even though the special effects aren't the best, it's still watchable, though it does have some problems, as I mentioned before.

This show took a long time to make and had some delays, but it's finally out now.

Santosh Singh is the director of this web series, and he has handled the topic very well and in a very mature manner. There are no unnecessary out-tracks; things are very straightforward.

However, in the second half, I felt some things should that have been shortened or trimmed a bit.

Apart from this, looking at the way the base of season 2 has been prepared, it seems that the story in season 2 will be completely fictional because the main story is over now. Now what war are they going to show after this? I guess there will be a completely fictionalized version.

Yes, I liked the music of the show. BGM is decent, but some songs were quite good like there is an emotional track in the second episode; that track is 'Aap Sunna Aapki Aakhe Nam Hona Teh'.

What is the new plan of JioCinema?

If we talk about the plans of JioCinema, then JioCinema has recently introduced two plans: premium and family.

The family plan is Rs 89, which is ad-free, in which you can connect four devices and you will be able to enjoy almost all the latest contents.

Then comes the second plan premium, which is Rs 29, in which only one device will be connected, this plan is also ad-free, but you will get to see ads in live sports.

And let me tell you that both plans are for one month each.

So these two plans from JioCinema are quite pocket-friendly, which everyone can afford.

Conclusion

Overall, Ranneeti fails to offer you anything different or extraordinary, but whatever is seen is presented in a completely honest manner; it is what it is.

Patriotism and emotions have been evoked very well without any Chilli Masala.

In terms of parental guidance, there is no use of strong words in the show, nor is there any kissing scene; you do not get to see any vulgarity, so yes, this is a clean family show.

So this was my review of JioCinema's new show, Ranneeti. I hope this review ride has been an enjoyable one for you.

See you.
