Rahun Main Tere Rubaru Movie Review: A Psychological Thriller That Fails to Leave a Lasting Impact
"Rahun Main Tere Rubaru Review: A Dark Psychological Thriller With Mystery, Murder, and Missed Opportunities"

Whenever a mystery thriller movie arrives, no matter which film industry it belongs to, our excitement automatically increases. The reason is simple — these movies usually bring dark stories, unexpected twists, and a world full of suspense that keeps us guessing until the end. Bollywood has also tried to explore this genre with its latest psychological mystery thriller movie “Rahun Main Tere Rubaru.”
But the biggest question is — does this movie actually deliver a dangerous mystery and thrilling experience, or is it just another average suspense film that gets lost among many others? Let’s find out.
Rahun Main Tere Rubaru is a psychological mystery suspense thriller with a runtime of around 1 hour 58 minutes. The movie focuses on a young man who is a blogger and has dreams of living his life in a completely different way. He wants to create a better future and experience something new.
However, his dreams suddenly turn into a nightmare when his life takes a dark and unexpected turn. A murder takes place, and the blame for that crime falls directly on him. As if this problem was not enough, his girlfriend also gets kidnapped under mysterious circumstances.
Now, the young man has two major challenges in front of him. First, he has to prove his innocence and find out who actually committed the murder. Second, he has to save his girlfriend before it is too late. With limited time in his hands, he starts a dangerous race against time where every moment becomes important.
But will he be able to uncover the truth? Who is behind the murder? Where has his girlfriend disappeared? All these answers are waiting inside the movie.
The interesting thing about Rahun Main Tere Rubaru is that it is a movie that many people are not even talking about. At the same time, most of the attention has gone towards bigger releases like Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey, which has dominated discussions among movie lovers. Because of this, many viewers probably do not even know that a movie with this title has been released.
I personally watched this movie a little late, but surprisingly, there is no regret in watching it late. Even if I had watched it after some more time, the experience probably would not have changed much.
Talking about the positive side, the movie does try to create a dark atmosphere. The concept of murder, mystery, and a character fighting to prove his innocence has potential. The idea itself could have become a gripping thriller if it was presented with stronger writing and better execution.
However, the biggest problem is that the story does not move forward with the same intensity that we have seen in some great suspense thrillers. Movies like Andhadhun and Ratsasan created a completely different level of excitement where every scene made audiences curious about what would happen next. Unfortunately, Rahun Main Tere Rubaru does not reach that level.
The movie had the opportunity to become something special, but the execution holds it back. The biggest weakness is the visual quality, especially the VFX. Some scenes look quite cheap and do not match the expectations of a modern thriller movie. At certain points, the presentation feels more like a television serial rather than a big-screen cinematic experience.
The background setup and technical aspects could have been much better. A thriller depends heavily on creating tension, fear, and curiosity, but here many scenes fail to create that impact.
That does not mean the movie is completely bad. The intention behind making the film is good, and there are moments where you feel the makers wanted to tell something different. But the final result is not powerful enough to make audiences say, “Wow, this is an unforgettable thriller.”
In simple words, Rahun Main Tere Rubaru is an average suspense thriller. It is not a disaster, but it is also not a movie that will remain in your memory for a long time. If you enjoy mystery movies and want to watch something different, you can give it a try once. But after watching it, you probably will not feel the need to revisit it again.
Currently, the movie is available in cinemas, and its OTT release details have not been officially confirmed yet. Whenever more information about its streaming release comes out, viewers will get a better idea of where they can watch it from home.
Overall, Rahun Main Tere Rubaru gets around 2.5 out of 5 stars. It has an interesting idea but fails to deliver the powerful thriller experience that audiences expect from a psychological mystery movie.
