What’s your emergency? The PAW Patrol is on a roll! Puppy Power Baby!

Our story starts in Adventure Bay where Gus (voice over by Tyler Perry) is driving to deliver his important load of maple syrup from Canada. After a mishap he is forced to swerve and winds up hanging from a suspension bridge. His only hope of rescue is Adventure Bay’s Emergency Response Team! The PAW Patrol with Ryder the lead, and puppies Chase, Marshal, Rubble, Rocky, Zuma, (my particular favorite puppy being a Navy veteran of Desert Storm), and Skye.

After a harrowing and daring rescue from these highly trained team of puppies, I’m glad to say that the trucker was safely rescued (of which I’m glad having worked as a trucker!) and of the dangerous spill of maple syrup? It was efficiently cleaned up with Rubble deploying waffles, pancakes, and French toast (just to add that international flair). Can we say sugar rush?

Next we’re take to Adventure City! Obviously everything in these parts is an Adventure (common it’s a kid’s thing!). Here we find Liberty (voice of Marsai Martin) the savvy dachshund, standing up to a bully on the subway. As with all bullies he quickly backs down when Liberty stands her ground and the bully (voice of Paul Braunstein) backs down and promises that he will change his life around (oh if it were only that easy!)

But it’s election day in Adventure City and apparently there was only one name on the ballet, Humdinger and so of course he wins by default . What’s even worse? If you look in the encyclopedia Britannica under ego errata, you will find his photo! To only make matters worse, he’s a..dare I say it, a cat person! Remember people in this story we love puppies!

It is here that our kid’s will learn that absolute power corrupts absolutely, especially if kittens are involved. Not to worry though, the PAW Patrol is on a roll! Liberty places a video call for help (obviously puppies know how to use cell phones so keep your iphone secure.) This is what happens when you let them off the lease!

One pup, Chase has a problem though, he doesn’t want to go back to Adventure City. Having a lot of bad memories from being abandon there (not to mention the bad climate, traffic jams, and all around bad environment) our little pup has plenty of reasons for not wanting to go back, being a hard life, but is encouraged by Ryder to face his fears and move on.

Now at this point we have to wonder, is it possible that this kid (Ryder) happens to be Iron Man’s nephew? I mean really the gadgets and high tech we see here? If it isn’t Iron Man’s nephew, it was definitely all on loan! These pups could honestly give the Avengers a run for their money. Which quite honestly is what the adults watching this film will love to see.

All in all, as far as animations go this film was top notch, and being that it isn’t from a name brand animation company that we are use to, shows that there is a lot of talent out there. The wonderful thing about this movie is that it does teach our kid’s values that we will want them to have in the form of our love for puppies.

Final Thoughts: There are many ways to teach our children the values of life, but none truly ever tops the stories that they will remember for a life time, think about the stories that you learned and in the end shaped your life. This story is one of courage, bravery, and friendship, of what trust, love, and loyalty really means. In the end isn’t that what we want our kid’s to learn?
