I was only six years old when I first became a fan and so attached to this amazing franchise of Power Rangers from youth and so on. There was even a time when I was so obsessed with the T.V. shows and the toys especially of this everlasting kids action franchise.

I would go on for hours with my affection of Power Rangers, but I wanted to include what lured me into these action packed shows, why I desire the toys so much and my favorite times of this franchise.

The toys from any Power Ranger series have not only kept the fans company from boredom and lonely times but of being so playful, collectable, interactive, fantasising through toys of battling the bad guys of monsters, orgs, minions etc. Most fans tend to collect the action figures of any Power Ranger character including the weapons and especially the Zords to combine together to make Megazords. To me personally it has always been the Megazords that has made me so attached to Power Rangers, as these were always my favorite toys out of the entire collection of toys of action figures, minibikes and carts and including the video tape boxes bought when I was a child.

The Megazords I always favored and prospered the most out of anything from the franchise because, the Zords are a lot more collectable and of different series to combine and attach all in one to form a Megazord (even forming to Megazords to an Ultrazord). The Zords come in the form of an animal of sort to interact and play around with and to attach and re-attach the Zord parts together to form a giant robot of the Megazord. It's even easy and interactive to play around with the Zords and Megazords of the different series of Power Rangers, imagining the Megazords battling each other or teaming up together. I would even line mine up like the Rangers do in the shows and charging towards the imaginative alien enemies, or even attach one Zord of a different series to another of a Megazord. I would even lose myself from reality with the Zord toys in the form of Animals or Dinosaurs from Wild Force or Dino Thunder, not of how cool they were designed and textured but of playing with them into thinking they would be exactly like they were from the T.V. Shows. However, it never took my interest to collect the Zords and Megazords of cars or spaceships as they seemed bleak and pointless to collect (besides from the RPM and Ninja Storm series' with being of hybrids of vehicles and animals), as I thought to rather collect Star Wars spaceships instead.

For those who do not know, as Power Rangers originated from Japanese T.V. shows under the title of Super Sentai between the 80's and early 90's before the release and success of the American version of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers in 1993. Founded by Haim Saban, this has since become a global sensational smash as kids (even teenagers and adults) were and are all over the franchise to the present day.

Growing up whilst collecting the toys and watching the T.V. shows of many different series of Power Rangers, I recall these as my all time favorite below. Some I have heavily collected the Zords/Megazords from the series in the likes of Wild Force, Ninja Storm, Dino Thunder, Jungle Fury and RPM, and others I favored more by the shows and episodes rather than bothering to collect the Megazords, though fascinated by the weapons, characters and storylines.

My personal top 10 favorite Power Rangers franchises:

#10. SPD: Japanese version - Tokusou Sentai Dekaranger

This series is of similar context to Time Force of police force and based in the future where humans and mutant aliens live in harmony. Space Patrol Delta is a Ranger police force to protect earth from evil beings and the Rangers use there morphers to scan whether the aliens are guilty or not guilty to keep the residents and citizens of earth safe from harm. Although I rate the series, it never seemed to take my interest to collect any of the Megazords, morphers or any of the toys from this series since it is mainly focuses of asteroid spaceships and other advanced police vehicles.

#9. Dino Fury: Japanese version - Kishiryu Sentai Ryusoulger

The latest release of the series, Dino Fury brings promising aspects of the toys and storylines of the films, even though it could have been improved on certain contexts. The weapons appear cool and fairly collectable with the Dino Fury keys, though the Dino Fury keys are mainly collectable around the Megazords as head sets for each piece from each Zord. The Zords attach, detach and combine rather like Lego in a way to combine cool armour for each Megazord mode, and I have yet to collect from this series.

#8. Mystic Force: Japanese version - Mahō Sentai Magiranger

This series focuses of the Rangers not only having power, but magic included (even with capes). They even gain friends but foes as mystical beings and possessing power elements of their own to battle away through till the end to fight of and keep away all the dark magic in the world. The Zords I also didn't take my interest to collect, although the weapons of the Magi Staff's switching to sword, axe and crossbow modes, the morphers and the ranger symbols of their helmets certainly attracted my attention to this series to collect these toys of sort.

#7. Dino Charge: Japanese version - Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger

Dino Charge is rather joyful and ecstatic to watch of the series, the weapons look great, the Rangers come in many different colours and Dinosaurs, the relentless Energems of many power modes, and the Zords come in many different shapes and sizes to collect. The Zords though seem different compared to the Dino Thunder and Mighty Morphin, as the Dinozords attach to each other with the mouths open to place the Energems inside as the arms of the Megazords. The many Zord modes look great through the style and textures, but I also expected more from the Ultrazord mode, as I expected more Dinozords attached together as it only forms in the appearance of six Dinozords in total. Still the Dino Charge Megazords deem themselves collectable but I have also yet to start the series collection.

#6. Jungle Fury: Japanese version - Juken Sentai Gekiranger

Jungle Fury shares similar complexions of the Zords from Wild Force, as the Zord forms are of animals of the wild jungle. In the series, the Zords are summoned through the Rangers animal spirits and trained by powerful Pai Zhua through The Order Of The Claw to fight against the evil forces of Dai Shi and emerge victorious. The Zords combine with many different features, the Jungle Pride and Jungle Master Megazords attach together by the Blue and Yellow Ranger Zords of the legs for the Megazord (including the Wolf Rangers Violet Wolf Zord), as the Red Rangers is of the top half of the chest, arms and head of the Megazords. They also come with different features of armour modes for the Zords and forms a stampede mode with the Rhino Steel Zord. Unfortunately I ended up selling the collections out of boredom and regretted it soon afterwards, but I intend on getting the entire collection back some day.

#5. Ninja Storm: Japanese version - Ninpuu Sentai Hurricaneger

The attitude era certainly changed a lot throughout the franchise since the release of Ninja Storm in which it would attract viewers of teenagers to enjoy the shows with more light-hearted humour. It would also involve the first Power Ranger team to involve three original Rangers from the beginning as most of the series would include five. The Zords and Megazords were not the only toys to attract my overwhelming collection, but the weapons, attachable disk morphers and even the action figures took my interest to fill my entire bedroom of Power Ranger toys. The Megazord collection is a mixture of animal and vehicle forms with textures and displays of giant engineered animal Zords. For example the Hawk, Dolphin and Lion Zords first came to part until the Thunder Rangers Zords formed of a hybrid of insects and large tank trucks. Lastly a self transform Megazord to change from the Samarai Star Chopper to the Samarai Star Megazord.

The Megazord weapons that are unleashed from the Power Spheres also in forms and hybrids of animals and weaponry. Until all three of the Megazords combine to the ultra Hurricane Megazord, they mount the Mammothzord with all the weaponry Zords adjoined together which makes it unique to complete and entire collection of the series.

After Wild Force, I first discovered Ninja Storm through a PC video game before watching the first few episodes of the series through this poster, which also evolved my desire for the Power Ranger franchise.

#4. Mighty Morphin: Japanese version - Kyōryū Sentai Zyuranger

You would think I'd would rank the original and iconic of the entire series in the top three but here is a reason why I ranked Mighty Morphin on number four. Before I discovered this series, I followed the series of Power Rangers in the early 2000's since of Wild Force, Ninja Storm and Dino Thunder as I never knew this was the very first of this franchise of where the saga began, plus this was released in 1993 which I wasn't born three years after to discover the original at such a young age.

Mighty Morphin is the only series out of the entire saga to feature three volumes as some of them in the 2010's included two volumes of the same series. This revolutionised the toys from the franchise not of being so collectable, but so rare as the toys of weapons, morphers, action figures, especially the Megazords from the original, are quite frankly expensive nowadays which they also come in different versions and brands.

This classic of the Power Rangers saga exploded onto the screens and became kind of like a box office bomb for kids since the 1990's, Mighty Morphin will undoubtedly be remembered since the generation of Power Rangers originated and began for the entire fandom across the globe

#3. Wild Force: Japanese version - Hyakujuu Sentai Gaoranger

The very first Power Rangers I ever remember is this one and I'm actually glad and proud it was this series. Since my love and passion for Power Rangers first came to being this drove me to be so obsessed and admired by this that highlighted my childhood ever since and something I will never forget.

Wild Force features many Zords of animal modes and the Rangers appearance of their helmets and animal symbols on their chest makes it stand out as being so dynamic. The Rangers also gain control of the Zords through animal crystals to place in their sabers and call them down from the Animariam to fight of the evil beings of Orgs. The Megazords do not combine together, though they can attach to one another through the arms and legs in many different modes in many incredible features.

Since crossing paths with Power Rangers at an early age with this series, my collection and obsession with this franchise has been relentless, my mother even told me of as a child for keeping my bedroom a mess with the toys scattered all over the floor, but that's childhood.

I used this poster to feature this series because, I was given a video box for my sixth birthday to watch the early episodes of Wild Force and featured the Rangers battling against Zen Aku who also battled the Rangers through Megazords until he would soon join them to become to the Lunar Wolf Ranger, since then they have become "Guardian of the earth, united we roar Power Rangers".... well you get the picture.

#2. Dino Thunder: Japanese version - Bakuryū Sentai Abaranger

This series certainly made a huge impact of my desire and collection of the franchise, not only were the Megazords designed in great texture and features but the morphers and weapons included. The morphers feature similar designs and complexes from the Dinozords and the weapons are so extraordinarily layed out. Dino Thunder seemed to have brought more joy from the toys more than the series, personally I think this series could have done with a second volume to feature more episodes and storylines to deem the series better but still stands out with the cool textures and features of the modes from the suits and Zords.

The White Drago Ranger became my all time favourite Power Ranger with the outstanding design of the costume and weapon and practically being the coolest White Ranger since Tommy Oliver's original White Ranger in Mighty Morphin. The franchise features evil Power Rangers and fighting against the team before turning good and joining them like Tommy Olivers Green Ranger from Mighty Morphin, the Lunar Wolf Ranger from Wild Force, the Thunder Rangers from Ninja Storm etc. Before ever knowing Tommy Oliver (whom the Dino Rangers refer to as "Dr. O") was a Ranger and the Dino Thunder Black Ranger, he was the original green and white Rangers and a leader of the team from Mighty Morphin to a red ranger in Zeo and Turbo. Since this series it brought an understanding of the entire franchise of Zordon, the evil Rita and Lord Z and the origins of the Morphing Grid since the beginning of the entire saga of the Power Rangers family.

#1. RPM: Japanese version - Engine Sentai Go-Onger

This may seem fairly odd to rank this at number one of my own, but this series came as a different approach to the franchise of the Megazords and of the show.

The series is based somewhere in the not so distant future, a mysterious and sinister Venjix Computer Network is attempting to conquer and lay ruin to the entire planet. Fortunately, mankind has retreated from the threat into an environmentally shielded domed city of Cornth to protect against the pollution and machines unleashed by Venjix. Until an elite force of Rangers learn to drive and operate an arsenal of radically and highly advanced biotech vehicles in order to battle the attacking machine army bent on world domination.

I usually wouldn't collect Megazords out of forms of vehicles and space ships from Power Rangers, but the Zords this series broke barriers in a way to feature an Ultrazord combination of not three but four different Megazords. The Zords also feature hybrids of animals modes and highly advanced biotech vehicles, it also features in the RPM Rangers suits and helmets involving number symbols of the animals on their chests and Zords, deeming the toys of the Zords most worthy of being collectable. The Engine Cells not only adapt to place inside Zords but in the morphers included with three different layouts.

The episodes of the show showed a different kind of humour and attitude era of the franchise, not just for kids but for teenagers and adults as well.

My current collections of the Megazords:

The whole set from the RPM version. First of the High Octane Megazord formed out of the Eagle Racer, Lion Hauler and Bear Crawler.

The Valmax Megazord formed out of the Tail Spinner, Wolf Cruiser and Croc Carrier.

The Mach Megazord formed out of the Falcon Chopper, Tiger Jet and Whale Jumbo.

Lastly the Paleomax Megazord formed out of the Mammoth Train and the T-Rex and Triceratops Carts.

The RPM Ultrazord mode with being the first Power Ranger series to feature a whole Megazord combination of four Megazords in one.

This Megazord collection also comes with Engine Cells to place inside the Zords with there own colours and numbers designed of animal symbols. As a resemblance to Dino Charge's Energems/Dino Chargers, Dino Fury Keys, Ninja Storm's Power Spheres that also deems them worthy of being so collectable.

The Predazord (blue moon mode) along with the Black and Polar Bear Zords from Wild Force.

The Samarai Star Megazord from Ninja Storm. I did originally own the Storm and Thunder Megazords, but I sold them due to partial damages and stain on the Zords as I prefer to have my Megazords in excellent condition without and scratches or damages on the Zords.

Very recently I have just purchased the three zords of the Tyrannozord, Tricerazord and Pterazord of the Thundersaurus Megazord from Dino Thunder and almost completed the collection of the series to join along the other Dino zords, and alongside the Dino Stega Megazord (Abaranger DX Killer)

The classical Power Rangers Megazords from the famous brand of Bandai are mostly bought and sold on eBay nowadays as these are still collected and sent across the globe today. I have yet to collect any of the Megazords from Dino Charge, Dino Fury, or from the classical Might Morphin as they tend to be the most expensive, but possibly one day I will be able to afford them to complete my favourited and desired series of collection in the future.

Power Rangers resembles the fact as part of one of the highlights of my childhood in a way to never forget it and never really feeling like a grown up as my love and passion for Power Rangers has never truly died out ever since being a child. People (or even haters) would say that Power Rangers is for kids, nerds and geeks, but they will never understand the fact of how underestimating, gratifying and memorable this franchise has made for the fans that has impacted them since childhood and of how great the fanbase is all across the globe from originated from Japan, to the U.S.A, to Europe and anywhere else of this Earth. Even though I am an adult now, it never feels or seems like my love, passion and obsession for this franchise would ever fade away.....ever.
