You're Beautiful (Korean: 미남이시네요; Hanja: 美男이시네요; RR: Minamisineyo; MR: Minamisineyyo; lit. What A Handsome Man You Are) is a 2009 South Korean television series starring Jang Keun-suk, Park Shin-hye, Jung Yong-hwa of CNBLUE, and Lee Hong-gi of F.T. Island. The series follows fictional musician band, A.N.JELL, and how the relationship between its members changes when a girl posing as her twin brother joins the band. It aired on SBS from October 7 to November 26, 2009, for 16 episodes. Ko Mi-nyeo (Park Shin-hye) has lived at an orphanage with her twin brother, Ko Mi-nam, since childhood after their father died. Years later, Mi-nam becomes a music idol and Mi-nyeo lives in a junior nun dorm to fulfill her dream of becoming a nun. One day, Mi-nam successfully auditions for and wins the "A.N Entertainment" vocal auditions to join the musical band A.N.Jell. However, he must leave for the United States in order to correct his botched plastic surgery. Mi-nam's manager, Ma Hoon-yi (Kim In-kwon) approaches Mi-nyeo and requests her to pose as Mi-nam for a month till he recovers. Mi-nyeo is against it at first, but eventually agrees, as a path to fame would give the twins an opportunity to find their mother. Thus, Mi-nyeo poses as her brother and joins the band A.N.Jell, where she meets its members: the arrogant Hwang Tae-kyung (Jang Keun-suk), the gentle Kang Shin-woo (Jung Yong-hwa) and the bubbly Jeremy (Lee Hong-gi).

At first, Tae-kyung is against Mi-nam's addition and makes her life hard, while Shin-woo and Jeremy are friendly to her. Eventually, Tae-kyung discovers that Mi-nam is a girl and threatens to reveal it, but Mi-nam manages to win him over. Through their interactions, Tae-kyung began to develop feelings for Mi-nam. Shin-woo and Jeremy also developed feelings for her, even though the latter thinks that Mi-nam is a boy. As Mi-nyeo struggles to hide her secret from the media while performing with A.N.JELL, she discovers her mother's past, which is somehow connected with Tae-kyung. Main

Oh Hee-joon as Ko Mi-nam (Ep. 15) My first ever k drama that i watched 6 years back and the reason why I got into watching k dramas and haven’t stopped since then 😭😭😭😭😭💕💕💕 This drama was so special to my heart well it still is even after I’ve watched hundreds of dramas by now hahah. The plot is quite unique here. Jang geun suk, my first oppa from k drama world did a great job at portraying his role that’s of a very arrogant one. And park shin hye also successfully fulfilled her role and so did the other two lead actors. 💕

It’s about a poor girl and an innocent girl who has a twin brother and situations compel her to join a famous band In place of her bro, where the leader is jang geun suk. And what makes it even more interesting is that all of her band members are unaware that she is a girl and not a boy.😂 And the story goes on like that..... 💕The romance between the actress and all of the actors is something else that you’ll know only if you watch the drama 😆 Also, it’s ost is amazing 😍

Watch it I’m sure you won’t regret it This drama was great with great actors, dialogues, setting and osts! It was one of a journey from a start where Ko Mi-yeon a innocent pure girl acts in place of her twin brother Ko Mi Nam as an Idol of a popular kpop group A.N.JELL, to her adjusting to the new lifestyle, acting as a boy and simultaneously falling for a member. Everything was on point, there were squealing and crying but in all a beautiful journey.

The end however wasn't the way I expected it or wanted it. I would have loved to see the interaction between Ko Mi Nam and Ko Mi-yeon towards the end as they met after years, like a family moment where Ko Mi Nam and Ko Mi-yeon hugging eachother; anemotional siblings-moments, or Ko Mi Nam teasing Ko Mi-yeon and Hwang Taekyung.

Nevertheless, it's a great show to watch with some great twists and turns. A light show to clear your mind from a hectic days! I've taken a huge liking to K-drama in recent months and thus is one of the good ones. I am getting a little tired of the second male lead always falling in love with the female lead and getting rejected even when he would be a better choice and this one is no different. Mi-nam didn't pull off the boy look very well. However the chemistry between all the characters was great and they all played their parts well. One thing I wondered though is why there wasn't much actual singing even though several of the cast are great singers....I thoroughly enjoyed it, even if she should have ended up with Shin-woo. All round it's worth watching.
