Ozark - An Outstanding TV Series on Netflix

I have binge-watched three seasons of Ozark on Netflix which I wholeheartedly recommend. It’s one of those tv shows that cannot be missed. It has a great cast who have made the show into a top-notch series.

Ozark stars Jason Bateman, playing Martin 'Marty' Byrde, who won the 71st annual Primetime Emmy Awards for best directing on Ozark, Laura Linney, playing Wendy Byrde and Julia Garner, who also won an Emmy award for best outstanding supporting actress on Ozark playing Ruth Langmore.

The tv series caught my attention a while back when the first season aired on Netflix. From there and since season 3 was aired on Netflix recently, I re-watched the first season and continued to binge-watch Ozark to the end. I wasn't disappointed. I wasn’t disappointed because it is one of those tv shows that will keep you interested for hours. Also, Jason Bateman is outstanding in it and he makes it even more believable. I always thought he was a comedy actor but since his performance in Ozark, he has hooked me into believing that he is capable of any kind of performance where acting is concerned.

Ozark's Storyline

Ozark was created by Bill Dubuque ('The Accountant' and 'The Judge'). The tv series is based on Marty Byrde, a financial planner who gets mixed up in a money-laundering scheme that goes terribly wrong. He finds himself in debt to a Mexican drug lord in order to save himself and his family. He desperately pleads for his life by selling himself to the drug lord when he tells the Mexican in charge that he can do something brilliant for them with his money-laundering skills if he is allowed to relocate to the Ozarks with his family. Marty and his family travel to the Ozarks, a summer resort community, where they finally try to settle and Marty is forced to launder money in businesses. Wendy, Marty's wife, finds it unfair but supports Marty no matter what happens, but their kids, Charlotte and Jonah find it odd that they have had to suddenly move away from their home life in Chicago. They want answers and so, their mother gives them the answers they are looking for by telling them the truth.

There is a lot of thrilling action and crime from the start and along the way. Evilly thrilling with some great acting from Jason Bateman, Laura Linney, and Julia Garner. I thought the show was outstanding with great family drama from the Bryde family which made the show appealing to watch. Marty Bryde's character is by far the best I have seen in a long time. The show is so exceptional that I got my husband hooked into watching it. He loved it too.

When you finish watching season one, you will most definitely want to carry on watching into season two because it's one of those shows you cannot get away from. It is highly binge-worthy.

This tv show thrilled me to bits and it should not be missed. It will keep you watching and interested for a long time. Every episode caught my attention making me watch on further. I enjoyed it so much that I now find myself looking for something else just as brilliant to watch on Netflix.

Ozark is a tv show that will keep you occupied by watching it. So, if you have nothing to watch then watch Ozark. I promise you will be thrilled by it.

I recommend it and rate Ozark 9 out of 10. Rotten Tomatoes rates it 81% and the audience score is 91%.
