Nobody’s Fool: an article

A favourite film of mine

By Revista Miko:XCI Published a day ago • 3 min read

Nobody’s fool is one of Paul Newman‘s later works. The movie was done in 1993, but was released theatrically in 1994. It is quite frankly one of my favorite movies of all time to be quite honest with you. Paul Newman did a great job in his role. I mean of course he was gonna do a great job. He’s Paul Newman or was Paul Newman either way rest in peace, sir. Jessica Tandy the legendary actress was also in the motion picture, and the film was dedicated to her because unfortunately it would become her last motion picture. May she also rest in peace.

Paul Newman is Donald Sullivan otherwise known as Sully around the small town of North Bath New York, where he and the rest of the town folk live. Sully is a guy who is dying his look. He’s in the movie 60 years old. He works construction and he’s always trying to find a break which he does at the end. I’m gonna give it away. He he he wins his horse trifecta that he’s been wanting the whole movie, he meets his son and reestablishes the fact that he’s a grandfather and stuff, and he gets to renew his boyhood home that his the lady played by Jessica Tandy buys back for him so Sully wins at the end and I say way to go Sully!

Actor Bruce Willis is also in it. He stars as a foil to Sully named Carl Robach, who slowly gets hurt on the job working for him at the construction company and soap, tiptop construction so he like you know at the beginning Sue’s car and so ever since they’ve had this really comedic, you know battle the whole movie and that’s great. I love the way that Bruce Willis’s character, Carl Roebuck, and Paul Newman’s character Sully just like our at each other’s throats the whole time it is great and also there’s an ongoing gag in the whole movie where you know they steal carls snowblower from each other through the whole movie. To get on Carl’s nerves Sully even flirts with Carl’s wife, Toby throughout the whole movie.

Another thing that has always endeared to me about this movie is that it really does depict small town, life, accurately, and all the interesting eccentric characters that live in the town from day-to-day life and also it goes to show that daily life and the people in it can be rather interesting in their own ways.

As I write this, I have to admit that another thing I love about Sully is that he reminds me of my dearly departed, Grandma Irene she was just like him if not more so. I think that the author Richard Russo, who wrote the book nobody’s full should just like leave it I mean nobody’s phone number two. I mean you know Paul Newman is no longer here to play Sully and just leave. They should’ve just left the movie where it’s supposed to be and not have a number two because you know Just leave it where it is what I’m trying to say at least I’m not speaking for anybody else but me someone that’s always love that movie and and it holds a special place in my heart. Melanie Griffith played Toby, Carl’s Wife. This movie has truly held up and will continue to do so for generations and years and eternity to come, and it was my pleasure to write this article because it deserved it as someone that like I said it has a special place in my heart as far as this movie goes
