A report suggests that Warner Bros. desires to sign Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson for ten more films.

Dwayne Johnson has recently been in the news for his deepening friendship with Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds which might have blossomed due to the fact that the duo share number one and number two spots in the list of highest-paid actors for the year 2020. Apart from drawing heavy money from the films, the duo also has several personal high-profit business enterprises.

Reynolds also seems to have taken the place of Kevin Hart as The Rock’s best buddy ever since he has joined hands with him on Hobbs & Shaw (a spinoff of Fast & Furious released last year).

The rich duo is currently grinding for Netflix at the set of their upcoming action blockbuster “Red Notice,”; news which has come to light due to the extensive trolling done by the Deadpool star. The Hobbs & Shaw sequel is also on the line, which will see Ryan Reynolds alongside The Rock on yet another adventure but with a significantly increased screen time for his character.

While they seem to share a strong bond off the screen, there seems to be rivalry brewing underneath the surface as the two friends will head against each other as the star power for DC and Marvel, respectively.

A recent report from a very reliable source has suggested that Marvel is planning something big for Ryan Reynolds, which will start by offering him the biggest contract in the comic studio’s history. The reason given for such a reckless offer is that they do not want to lose him as the Deadpool because the modern icon is one of the few charismatic male star power left in the franchise since the successive departure of Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, and Hugh Jackman.

Meanwhile, DC is secretly working on a deal with Dwayne Johnson, which will keep the actor in the DC Extended Universe franchise for ten more films. Furthermore, the actor has been confirmed to be a part of an untitled Shazam sequel, and he himself has expressed his desire to have an onscreen fight with Henry Cavill’s Superman. A report had suggested in 2017 that Dwayne Johnson will have some minutes in the first Shazam film as the villain Black Adams, but the studio decided against it later on.

Now, this ten movie deal will inevitably include him in almost every major film in the coming decade.

Dwayne Johnson has proclaimed himself to be the biggest candy movie star in the film’s history, and his interest in Shazam films is a surprise to none. It will not be a bad deal for Warner Bros. either as The Rock has a fan base that will guarantee the box office success for any film.

However, his chemistry with other big stars of the franchise like Wonder Woman’s Gal Gadot, Henry Cavill, Jason Momoa, Zackary Levi, and even Ben Affleck will be tricky as Dwayne Johnson is someone who demands solitary limelight. This also caused some tussle on the sets of Fast & Furious between him and Vin Diesel.

He will be seen in the film “Jungle Cruise” opposite “Sicario” star Emily Blunt.
