Mystery Solved : Someone Worked Out What Sansa Stark's Letter Says On 'Game Of Thrones'!
For those still wondering about Sansa Stark's mysterious letter from "The Broken Man" fear not!
You may be pretty crafty D. B. Weiss and David Benioff, but you have to get up early to pull the wool over the eyes of your Game of Thrones fans. For those still wondering about Sansa Stark's mysterious letter from "The Broken Man" fear not! Redditor CreepyPancakes has the showrunners rumbled thanks to some internet trickery. Importantly, the contents of the letter now confirms exactly who it was going to, and where the last few episodes of this season could be heading.
Due to some clever visual enhancement and image flipping, which is serious James Bond stuff, we can read (most of) what the letter says:
[…] you promised to protect me,” it reads. “Now you have a chance to fulfill your promise. […] Knights of the Vale are under your command. Ride north for Winterfell. Lend us your aid and I shall see to it that you are [well/properly] rewarded.
CreepyPancakes has traced the legible words in black, barely legible/educated guesses in red, and question marks are more dubious words - but apparently the most likely. A case even the Scooby Gang couldn't solve, it looks like solid work to us. So this means that the winner is....
Petyr 'Littlefinger' Baelish
Well done for all those who guessed correctly. When we left Lord Baelish, he and Sansa Stark weren't exactly on good terms, banished back to the Eyrie and whiny Lord Robyn Arryn. Arryn (under the tutelage of Baelish) commands the Lords of the Vale, a force that has quite an army behind them and a crucial chess piece in the current northern troubles. Consisting of 45,000 men, the Vale army could bump up the numbers of those sworn to House Stark, and make up for Lyanna Mormont's 62 men of Bear Island (we still love her though)!
Whilst Petyr Baelish's alliances have always been questionable, it is pretty certain that he will run to the aid of the downtrodden Stark family, after all, he owes Sansa for the whole Ramsay/rape saga. We are guessing that the Vale will play a big part in the Battle of the Bastards and it could FINALLY be bye bye Ramsay. Tune in next week to find out more!
