Genre: Adventure, fantasy

Year of release : 2019

Languages : English, Russian, Mandarin

Lead cast: Jackie Chan, Yao xingtong, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Anna Cherina, Jason Flemying, Yuriy Kolokolnikov, Ma Li.

This movie is about a dragon that lives far far away south of the heavenly empire of china, which according to myth that his eyelashes fell to the ground and sprang up plants that had special powers for healing the soul and helping those who suffered called "tea". The trimming of his eyelashes was the sole responsibility of middle men called the "white wizards".

The dragon made a Seal and gave it to the most trusted of all the white wizards named "the master" (Jackie Chan) and his daughter Cheng Lan ( Yao xingtong) to take care of. Most wizards defected out of greed and started using black magic under the authority of their new leader "the two faced witch", they conquered the dragon's cave.

To protect the "tea", the great dragon seal was hidden. The black wizards captured "the master" and his daughter Chang Lan. They were sent to the prison at the opposite sides of the earth far away as the "two faced witch" ruled the empire. With no one to trim the dragon's lashes, it's eyes became heavy and it feel asleep awaiting the return of "the master" and his daughter Cheng Lan.

On the opposite side of the world is a cartographer "Jonathan Green" (Jason Flemying) who has been commissioned by the Russian Tsar: Peter the First (Yuriy Kolokolnikov) to make a map showing the destinations of all his European possessions, he too on getting to Russia finds out a conspiracy and send cryptic messages to the love of his life "miss dudely"(Anna cherina) telling her of the impending waterloo he found himself in.

It's a story that depicts the fight between good and evil. It shows a great deal of medieval cultural lifestyles being practiced in China, Russia and England. Lots of sea routes actions and pirate trends. It's also packed with lots of comedy and hilarious moments, we all know what Jackie Chan movies gives us.. Lol!

It's a martial arts movie but I must confess it wasn't as intriguing as the ones you've watched earlier if you're a hardcore Jackie Chan fan. i still don't understand why that old man died in the cell right about when there was hope to breakout.

Jackie has a way of bringing entertain and learning together, I've been following his movies since i was a kid from rush hour to police story, he can make you laugh hard and this was no exception.those guys( apart from the 3 Chinese men) down at the cell who fought Arnold Schwarzenegger for their freedom made me feel they weren't smart enough and he did his best to keep me entertained with lots of fighting and real funny scenes.

This was not the cast i was expecting though but it had enough depth to steal my attention for a while.the Special effects were good especially when Yao xingtong was fighting Ma li at the end. they also had good rendering.there use of science to develop weaponry and machines was fascinating too, the villains weren't that bad ass but they were really terrific ,they needed more juice to power up which was their weakness, I think for me it has a rating of 6/10. It has a some good stunt scenes too. It also showed more of geography and cartography which I found educative.

Overall i'm giving it a rating of 7/10 for a movie that combines mythology, science and martial arts.
