Everyone who knows me knows that I'm a huge fan of superhero films. I do prefer DC films over Marvel films, but this does not mean that I don't like Marvel. I love the majority of Marvel films and in this list is my top five favourite ones.

5: 'Avengers' Assemble

When this film came out, I was so excited to see all my favourite Marvel heroes at the same time on the big screen. This film has the perfect mix of humour, action, and seriousness. We also got introduced to a new Bruce Banner/Hulk, which was really interesting to see. It is a really good portrayal, and we see his character evolved through the films in the future. The villain of Loki was fantastic and he served as a real threat to Earth's mightiest heroes, which left the audience on the edge of their seats throughout most of the film. The final battle was everything great about superhero films; great action and great interactions between each character. This film was one of its kind at the time, and it will always hold up against films of this day and age.

Rating: 7/10

4: 'Deadpool'

This film is everything we wanted from a Deadpool film. Ryan Reynolds was the best choice to play Wade Wilson. He has the witty characteristics that make this character one of the most loved to date. Not only is the film hilarious, but the story is great, and so is the action throughout. It is probably one of the most accurate interpretations of a comic book character we have ever seen. The moments where he breaks the fourth wall really are a highlight within this film and it is, again, really accurate to the comics, as he has always been like this throughout literature. The film never gets boring, and it keeps the audience engaged and laughing the entire time. Apart from during the fight scenes, which were actually quite gritty, but that makes for a great fight scene.

Rating: 8/10

3: 'Caption America: Civil War'

I was excited for this film ever since it was announced, and it didn't disappoint. Seeing the Avengers that were being built up for many years turn on each other was almost surreal for the fans to see. It had everything from the perfectly timed humour, to emotion, to some of the best fight sequences I have ever seen. It also introduced us to two new characters in the MCU in Spider Man and Black Panther. Tom Holland is the perfect choice for Spider Man as he can play both sides of the character really well. It is the best portrayal of Peter Parker and Spider Man I have ever seen. Black Panther is the most unique superhero on the big screen. He is the first African superhero to be seen on the big screen which is a breath of fresh air from the usual American type heroes. It is a great film and I enjoy it every time I watch it.

Rating: 8.5/10

2: 'Black Panther'

This film is not only amazing, but it has made history. It is the first solo African superhero film that we have seen and its importance shows with how well it has done. Regardless of if it did well or not I would've enjoyed it either way. One of the best parts of this film is the scenery. It is beautiful. In my opinion, it is the best scenery from any marvel film, the African landscapes really make this film what it is. The main reason why this film is so high up in my ranks is due to the main villain. Eric Killmonger, who is played by Michael B. Jordan, is the second best villain Marvel has had on the big screen. He is entertaining, intimidating, and he poses a real threat and this is shown when he takes over Wakanda and becomes King straight away. It is a real shock when it happens and it makes for an interesting storyline. No one saw it coming. The film as a whole is amazing and if you haven't seen it I highly recommend you do.

Rating: 9/10

1: 'Avengers: Infinity War'

This film is an absolute masterpiece. From start to finish it does not disappoint in the slightest. The action starts straight off the bat and it doesn't stop throughout the entire film. As well as all the action we see a lot of emotion and some well placed humour. There is one part in which the humour seems forced, but other than that one scene, it is perfect the whole way through. This is the most emotional film that Marvel has brought, and it is a nice change of tone from the rest of the films they have released. Thanos is the greatest villain not only from Marvel films, but DC as well. You can see that he is the biggest threat that we and the Avengers have ever seen and this is shown throughout. He is dark, powerful, terrifying, and willing to do anything to achieve his goal. If you have seen the film, you know what I mean. I won't go into detail as I don't want to spoil, but anyone who has seen this film knows how much of a masterpiece this film is.
