In times of such uncertainty many young creators are looking and have found the internet to be a source of community and entertainment. With most at home, we must be creative about what and how we consume content. This should be a time for growth and positive change, so below I have recommended some of the outlets that have not only been a source of joy, but also a source of inspiration toward me and many others.

An inspiration that can bring forth a sense clarity and a higher understanding of what it means to live in the modern western world.

THE RALSTON COLLEGE PODCAST - Host: Steven Blackwood

This is an extremely inspirational podcast that I have been following for quite some time now. The host has made this platform well known by having the, what you might call, the most infamous intellectual of our time, Jordan B. Peterson, a prolific thinker, teacher, and psychology professor based out of the University of Toronto. He is a controversial figure known for his lectures on the Biblical Narrative, as well as his political views and opinions during the hight of the the Social Justice Warrior expansion, via the world wide web. Steven Blackwood has put together an interview at Cambridge University with Peterson, and by doing so he has produced an extremely comprehensive dialogue about the sate of Western Culture & how it could possibly be resurrected through a new approach to the humanities. For those of you who are familiar with Peterson's rhetoric, there will definitely be topics of reoccurrence, although I think you will also be surprised to find that Blackwood's input on the subject matter stimulates Peterson into new intellectual territory, especially on his views of literature and art. I hope you find this content as stimulating and thought provoking as I have. In this time of economic and public health uncertainty, heavy academic dialogue my seem to be a bit out of focus, but I think that it may very well be what we need; a resurrection of higher education, in order for us to be aware and prepared for potential darker or brighter days to come.

I will also like to attach another more recent conversation from The Ralston College Podcast, one with Iain McGilchrist, the author of 'The Master and His Emissary' a book about the divide between the left and right hemispheres of the brain. In this dialogue McGilchrist and Blackwood go deeper into the modern implications of both hemispheres, and how the modern western world, may very well be, far too rationalistic (left). It may be the case that we westerners must turn to our spiritual and intuitional right brains in order to enter into a new more vital and healthy society.

HAPPY EARTH DAY / & HAPPY WORLD BOOK DAY

The earth now has a chance to breath and flourish in a way it hasn't in quite some time. People are growing to appreciate how much beauty and nourishment our ecology truly bestows upon us. Earth Day is everyday, but this spring we can see the holiday in a new light. We can learn to live on less, transport less, and build community more. No matter where you are in the world there is always a chance to be active locally and help take care of the environment right outside your door. Supporting sustainable business' and working with local environmental organizations can help make a change in how we are able to live in this world harmoniously. In a time when we realize how fragile the planet really is, we can act now and transform into a new society; one that prioritizes health and longevity, not only for ourselves, but for the entire global-ecological system.

Literature will always and forever be a source of inspiration to us all. From romantic poetry to dense non-fiction, humanity has used its ability to tell stories in order to better understand ourselves and the world around us. This is the project of the Humanities, Art, Religion, and Science. A clamor for a divine realization, and a need to express our struggles as well as our triumphs. Celebrate World Book Day by picking up whatever publication brings you joy. By doing this you are helping the world become a better place, and at the same time helping yourself to more knowledge and inspiration... things we will never need less of... only more.
