With Great Power...

WARNING: Minor Spoilers for Spider-Man: No Way Home and WandaVision

MCU Phase 4 is well underway, and speculation has begun about who'll end up in the next movies. Whether it'll be classic Golden Age, newer but still oldie Silver Age, or Modern age guys, names are being thrown around left and right, and no one seems to know for sure. However, with the release of WandaVision, hints have been made towards a new character or two that will appear. And this person is also a magic-user who is more powerful than Doctor Strange or Scarlet Witch and has a connection with one of them.

You all know about Doctor Strange, a surgeon who got into an accident, leading to him becoming the Sorcerer Supreme and one of the most powerful magic users on Earth, and one of my Dad's personal favorites. This was adapted into the MCU, barring some minor changes, and even with his title revoked following his actions in Spider-Man: No Way Home, he's still shown to be one of the strongest.

Enter Scarlet Witch. A member of the Avengers, and the X-Men, Magneto's daughter, alongside her brother Quicksilver, and thus a mutant. Another aspect about her is her use of chaos magic, which is different from that of Strange. Wanda Maximoff, as she is still known at the time, appeared in Age of Ultron, but due to the X-Men movies rights being tied up with 20th Century Studios (20th Century Fox at the time), they threw away much of that backstory and, Quicksilver, in the climax to fit with the MCU. However, Chaos Magic would play a vital role in its plot and numerous sitcom homages. This would, in turn, include an encounter with a literal witch, Agatha Harkness.

However, in the comics, one person was more powerful than either. His name was Billy Kaplan or Wiccan, he's capable of warping reality itself, and he is one of the sons of Scarlett Witch and Vision. Well, sort of, it's a bit complicated, and I don't really want to go over it, but he is related to her in some way. The Disney+ series WandaVision introduced him and his brother, Tommy (Speed), as Wanda's children in the reality bubble she created during the show's events and hinted at their potential to become heroes in their own right. They then disappeared when the illusion was over… or did they?

Yes, the famous post-credit scene reveals that they might not be gone forever. This raises a few questions: When and how will they return? Will their powers show up? Will they recognize their mother? Will she still be their mother? All will be revealed in due time, but it's clear that this is not the end of this storyline. We'll just have to see where this plot thread goes and talk about it from there. This is just the beginning of something more, but something will need to be discovered.
