"You have no business going to BBN"

Big Brother Naija is undoubtedly THE biggest show in Nigeria and unarguably one of the biggest television programs around Africa.

Every year, hundreds and thousands of people flock to audition venues to try their luck at being selected as one of the contestants to make it unto the show. The benefits of going are many: exposure. A lot of exposure. Life-changing level of exposure. A cash prize to the winner along with other prizes that all total as of last year, 85 Million Naira. A spot in the Big Brother Naija show to many many people is like winning the lottery – very few get in every year and the rewards after being selected are endless.

So, it is no surprise why fans of the show are angry with one Big Brother Naija contestant especially who had the chance to get on the show and is now saying that during her time on the show, she hid from the cameras.

That contestant is Luciana Edet popularly known as Lucy.

Lucy

The ex-BBNaija housemate has been fighting with her fans on Twitter and I’m here to catch you up on everything that has been going on. Are you ready? Then let’s go!

The entire ordeal started on March 3rd when Lucy returned to Twitter to post a beautiful picture of herself saying: “Just to appease the gods of Twitter for being off for so long!

In response to the tweet, a fan of the BBNaija star said:

Wish u had this vibes in d house u would hv gone far all d best still @LucianaEdet

To which Lucy responded:

What if it just wasn’t shown!?

After that, that same Twitter user wrote to her saying:

I loved ur cluby slutty side but if u were like dat from d beginning u entered the show u would def hv camera time coz most of d time dey show u , u were always by ur self or when u nd ur crew then gossiping no offence but I liked ur vibe towards d end ❤️

And that’s when Lucy made the comment that people did not like:

Lol... I avoid cameras dearie... it’s my specialty.

One angry fan responded to Lucy saying:

Then you have no business going to BBN in the first place, there are millions of people who would've made good use of the camera. You hustle to enter BBN, got in, and started dulling.

Which can I say, as a fan of the show, I understand this person’s frustration. How can you go on a show that thousands of people want to go on, that we the audience watch for entertainment, only to later come out and say that during your time, you were hiding from cameras. Really, then what was the point of getting on the show? It makes we the audience almost feel cheated in some way – and while of course it’s not that big of a deal, I can understand why this person is upset.

Lucy saw the Twitter user’s comment and responded back saying:

Sorry o that they saw something in me and chose me!!! Sorry.

Hmm. What do you think about this whole bruhaha? Let us know under the Facebook comments.

That’s All.
