Warning: contains spoilers for Suicide Squad: King Shark #7!

Out of all the members of the Suicide Squad, the vicious King Shark is the only participant who was not arrested for committing a crime. Instead, the humanoid shark was given to Amanda Waller for a dark and sinister purpose, and Suicide Squad: King Shark #7 finally answers many of the mysteries surrounding the aquatic antihero. Amanda Waller, the leader of the Suicide Squad, always gets her due...but this time she did not resort to blackmail or any underhanded tactics at all.

In the Suicide Squad: King Shark series, the eponymous antihero is sent back to the oceans after being summoned by his father. Amanda Waller willingly allows King Shark to leave the prison of Belle Reve; she's made a deal with Nanaue's father, allowing him occasional leaves of absences for family visits. She sends the C-list villain Defacer with Nanaue as an insurance policy (Defacer will be executed via the Suicide Squad's infamous neck bombs if King Shark fails to report back to jail).

In a flashback sequence in the 7th issue, readers see King Shark not as a vicious killing machine, but as an innocent baby shark happily playing with the family dog. A helicopter lands near the house, and with the blessing of King Shark's father Lord Chondrakha, Amanda Waller picks up the infant King Shark and takes him away to parts unknown. Lord Chondrakha believes his son must be made to become strong to survive the upcoming Wild Games.

The Wild Games are tremendously important to Lord Chondrakha - and all other humanoid/animal hybrids of the Earth. Multiple "exemplars" compete against each other in a gladiatorial setting, and there can only be one victor. Lord Chondrakha, perhaps believing that Nanaue was destined to grow up weak so long as he was raised in a caring environment, presumably called Amanda Waller to turn his son into a deadly animalistic weapon. King Shark's father even kills Nanaue's dog right in front of him just as the helicopter is taking off, simply to prove a point.

Lord Chondrakha's gambit paid off: King Shark is known throughout the DC universe as a monstrous being who remains a danger to his friends as much as his enemies. Both King Shark's father and Amanda Waller got exactly what they wanted in the deal - but Nanaue lost his childhood forever. In that respect, King Shark is by far the most tragic member of the Suicide Squad.

DC fans were given a treat this weekend with the virtual FanDome event, a stream that previewed several upcoming DC projects. While there was plenty to get excited about, one of the things that had many fans over the moon with excitement was the story trailer for "Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League." The new trailer gave fans a new look at what the game will be about, but it also raised a lot of questions. One question, in particular, is about the voice actor behind King Shark, one of the main characters in the game.

King Shark played quite a large role in "The Suicide Squad" in 2021, and he even had some touching scenes that were deleted from the final product. In the story trailer for the game, his voice confused many people. While the role of King Shark in the movie was created for Sylvester Stallone, Stallone's voice won't be part of the game. Instead, wrestling fans might have recognized his voice from somewhere else.

King Shark in "Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League" is actually a pro wrestler

WWE fans may have recognized Joe Seanoa as the voice of King Shark in the trailer for "Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League." Seanoa, who goes by Samoa Joe while wrestling, has his own charm, even though he doesn't sound quite like Sylvester Stallone. Seanoa has done a ton of voice acting for WWE titles, he's also appeared in other big projects. For example, he was part of the "Transformers: Power of the Prime" TV series and "DOTA 2."Wrestling Inc mentioned that Seanoa has a love for games, so the role of King Shark was right up his alley. Fans will be able to see more of his voice acting skills when the game is released in 2022 on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.

With limited information about "Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League" available, fans have latched on to any details about the game's several trailers, including its use of a specific song.
