Kate Mansi Has Remained Quiet in the midst of pregnancy rumors

The soap vet has not updated fans since leaving General Hospital.

The rumors started long before Kate Mansi left her role as Kristina Corinthos Davis on General Hospital. Unreliable websites and Facebook groups began reporting that the actress was pregnant.

Mansi, who portrayed Abigail Devereaux Dimera on Days of Our Lives before joining GH in 2023, left the ABC soap in May of this year. She announced she was leaving to work on several personal projects and travel with her husband, Matt McInnis, who was producing films abroad.

Mansi and McInnis married in May 2025. The wedding was a surprise event held in a secret garden in Los Angeles. Guests in attendance were initially led to believe they were attending an engagement party so the wedding was a shocker.

Onscreen, Kristina's departure was because she enrolled in medical school which came as a shock to fans. The character is impetuous and often acts before she thinks things through.

Kristina was a surrogate for her sister, Molly Lansing Davis (Kristen Varganos), but was not very wise during the pregnancy. She went to Ava Jerome's (Maura West) apartment and began arguing with her.

Kristina tripped over a duffle bag, fell through a window into the Metro Court swimming pool, and lost the baby. Viewers were stunned that she was going to be a doctor and said she was the least likely Port Charles resident to have the discipline needed for medical school.

Kristina's relatives and friends were also bewildered by the decision, but they all wished her well. Mansi was eager to portray the daughter of Port Charles mob boss Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and lawyer Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) because the storylines revolved around two issues that mattered to her.

"When Frank first approached me about the role, two things deeply resonated with me: the opportunity to show my support for the queer community by playing an LGBTQ+ character, and to help tell an endometriosis storyline," the actress shared.

The actress added, "Together, I truly feel we honored both of those stories in a way that mattered. And the fact that I got to direct was simply the icing on the cake! Now, it feels like the right time for both Kristina and me to step into new adventures."

The door has been left open for Mansi to return to GH, but this is not a guarantee that she will be asked back. While Steve Burton (Jason Morgan) has walked away from the ABC soap several times and returned, Chad Duell (Michael Corinthos) was replaced after he took time away from the show.

Earlier this year, Burton took a leave of absence to spend time with his new wife, and his role as Jason was waiting for him. Duell took time off to deal with his father's death, and Rory Gibson is now portraying Michael. Duell recently gave interviews stating that he wanted to return and did not expect to be replaced by Gibson.

GH seemed to be phasing Kristina out for many months. She was not involved in any front-burner storylines and was no longer getting a lot of screen time. Life in Port Charles continues, and Kristina is no longer mentioned.

Earlier this year, Kate Mansi appeared in the film Casa Grande, but there have been no updates from the soap vet since she left her popular character behind. If she is pregnant she is keeping it to herself, which is her right.

The actress has shared that she has endometriosis, which can make pregnancy difficult and prevent some women from becoming pregnant.

Fans should be watching for updates that come directly from the actress or a reliable site regarding her current situation, and for an official announcement from General Hospital about any possible return.
