Recently, there has been an increase in online interest in the Jackson 5 and heir family due to the film Michael.. One story I found fascinating was about the child Joe Jackson had outside of his marriage. Joh'Vonnie Jackson is the daughter of Cheryl Terrell who had a 25-year affair with Joe.

Joh 'Vonnie has said she didn't understand why the family did not embrace her and that all she wanted was to belong. Joh' Vonnie only wanted to belong, but her brothers and sisters could not get past their pain. Even Michael, who was known for his compassion did not reach out the way she thought he would.

Her very existence shifted the family dynamic as they had all known it, adding a new layer that no one say coming. Joe was tough on his first nine children but expressed love to his 10th. Joh 'Vonnie did not realize that when she said "daddy," it was shocking to her siblings.

She wanted to be welcomed but her presence reminded them of three things: The difference in the way their father treated her, she could call him daddy and that he cheated on Katherine.

Joy 'Vonnie's existence brought complications

The Jacksons were also were being protective of their mother, who had been cheated on. It is believed that Cheryl Terrell is the woman in The Jacksons, an American Dream, who called the Jackson home and hung up. The other woman calling the home where the wife lives is a big "No" for most people.

The adultery and the pain, from the betrayal of Katherine, were enough, but when Joh 'Vonnie called Joe Jackson, dad, that was a deal breaker. It was not her fault, and children should not be held accountable for the sins of their parents.

Still, after years of abuse as outlined in testimonies from Michael, Janet, and Latoya Jackson, were they supposed to welcome the child who was shown love with open arms? Their emotions were raw, and old wounds that never properly healed came to the surface.

The outsider who didn't belong

The daughter who was born because their mother was cheated on received the love and affection that the others craved and did not get. This is why Joh 'Vonnie may always be considered an outsider by some of her siblings.

I knew a man who had two children with his former wife and six more with three other females while he was married. The women decided to allow the siblings to get to know one another and attend each other's birthday parties. They said the children should not be penalized for what their father did.

Joe Jackson demanding his children call him Joseph added insult to the injury of his child from an extramarital affair. In my opinion this is why Michael Jackson and his siblings responded to their sister as an outsider with a "You shouldn't have come here" attitude toward Joh 'Vonnie Jackson.
