Danny Rand (a.k.a. Iron Fist) sees #GameofThrones alum Finn Jones tackle the role of the warrior/monk/businessman. In a new Netflix featurette that was recently released, we learn a little bit more about who Rand is and how he gained his superhuman powers.

Check Out The Featurette Below:

Who Is Danny Rand?

After surviving a harrowing plane crash that renders him an orphan, Danny Rand returns home to New York after spending 15 years training in a monastery to "become this warrior" as Jones explains. Danny learns that his childhood friends are now in charge of his father's billion-dollar corporation and are in disbelief when they see this man who has been presumed dead for 15 years.

Nobody can truly be trusted.

Rand has been told that there is a mythological dark force in the world that he initially did not believe. However, it has apparently infested Rand Corp and nobody can truly be trusted. Cut to shots of individuals we are unfamiliar with and Netflix #MCU regular, Madame Gao!

What Is That Tattoo?

For the uninitiated, Danny has an intriguing design tattooed located right in the middle of his chest. When asked how he got that tattoo, Danny states:

It's not exactly a tattoo, it's the mark of the Iron Fist.

How Can He Punch So Damn Hard?

According to Iron Fist lore, there is a spacial force that runs through the entire universe called The Fire Of The Fist. During his time at the monastery, Danny learned how to harness this energy into his fists in order to ignite it.
