It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia or Future Man?

Twisted Humour at its best

The Motliest of Motley Crews

It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia has entertained me greatly during this pandemic. Their twisted humour, plot lines, and classicaly trained performers lend a polished nature to their often despicable behaviour.

Charlie Day, the writer and creator has the imagination of a psycho path, the quick wit of a top notch comedian and the intellect of a professor of psychology.

The Cast including Danny Devito, Glen McElhanney, Kaitlin Olson, and Of course Charlie day make up this endearing group of borderline personality disordered individuals.

Dancing on the edges of the mundanity of life through the setting of a shabby Irish pub.

In every episode someone bares the brunt of the chicanery of the other 3 insanely talented players, that pull off moments of completely hysterical antics with deadpan commitment to their characters aloof self righteousness.

Disclaimer: Charlie Days sentiment in no way reflects my own, well usually😜

Let’s face it we all have days where we just want to tell everyone to go @&$! Themselves.

Hopefully we won’t all be spitting mad when we find that we have not placed in the Little Black Book Contest as is being projected.

Charlie’s spitting mad, and a times pink Floyd esque lament of psychological unrest is hilarious to say the least.

For all the effort they put in to torchering each other, They display a high level of loyalty when outside forces threaten any one of them.

Dee seems to be the exception to this. The guys seem indifferent to her difficulties in some very misogynistic ways.

Dee handles it all with the detachment of an empowered women with no need for a mans approval.

Danny Devito shows a little more of his inner scumbag, remnants of Louie from Taxi paid homage, in some very nostalgic and clever ways.

The Blank Cheque that taunts us all with its possibilities and its moral epiphanies.

If you need to laugh at the toxicity of human kind watch It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia.

Future Man.

The Brilliant and Hilarious brainchild of Seth Rogan cannot go without mention, when seeking the humorous side of life’s potential...Wtf!!

I have to say humour has been one of my tried and true methods of coping with pandemics, lockdowns and potential financial disaster.

The Cast, Eliza Coupe, Derek Wilson, Josh Hutcherson, and Haley Joel Osment, with veteran ringers, Ed Begley, Glenne Headley, Keith David, and Robert Craighead, make up a truly talented and engaging dynamic.

The Common thread between these two shows is multi faceted.

1) the writing is phenomenal and way outside the box.

2) Has Leading Ladies that do not wait for men to solve their problems.

3) addresses moral ineptitudes of Humankind

If things have just gotten so bad that all you can do is laugh,

FUTURE MAN is for you.

It takes a special kind of writer to keep me tuning in an waiting for the next episodes, but Seth Rogans Future Man accomplishes this in spades ♠️

Future Man currently has three seasons and thirty-four episodes of irony and hilarity to brighten your mood and remind us that, inevitably, things could be worse.

So Go Bravely into the fray, and when all else fails... laugh your ass off!

I hope you enjoyed my if this then that contest submission, please check out both of these Genius inspired series, and remember not to take yourself to seriously, we are all just one temporal mishap away from dismemberment 😂
