It Happened At Random

The body has various mysteries and can cause alienation

Warnings: mentioning of "Saw", random boners, etc.

No one was willing to give Logan a chance to explain himself. Even though he had detailed knowledge about the body, no one wanted him to explain himself. When they saw his pants and "Saw" on the TV, they didn't care that he was analyzing the tactics for the sake of curiosity or that it never happened before; all they saw was a man whom they figured seemed too happy with the tortures within "Saw". It took some snarky comments for Logan to see what made everyone disgusted. He placed a pillow on his lap and tried to tell everyone else that he was not interested in the tortures like that and it happens randomly to the body, but, as far as the others know, his explanations were no different than Remus trying to justify murder.

Ever since that evening, Logan tried to act like nothing happened, but everyone was distancing themselves from him like he had some kind of disease. He even caught Roman try to exaggerate the situation to Thomas and felt lucky that the latter took it with a grain of salt. He tried sitting by Patton and Virgil on the couch one afternoon and was greeted by the two running away from him.

Logan was eating from his Crofters jar alone one day when he received a notification on his phone. He considered ignoring it when he saw he got a text from Remus, but decided to acknowledge it when he remembered the amount of people he could turn to was shrinking.

Hey. I heard you had a particular...interest in "Saw". What's going on?

Logan groaned at the message, but he decided he might as well try to explain himself to the most taboo Side and that it would be a miracle if he listened.

I was watching "Saw" so I can analyze bits of the torture and then, all of a sudden, my pants randomly tightened. I don't like torture and I tried to tell everyone else that arousals happen randomly, but all everyone else wants to do is compare me to you.

As he sent the message, he dreaded getting a response from Remus. He expected Remus to congratulate him on reacting to his first torture porn or make jokes about it. Instead, when he got the notification, he was greeted with,

Just because it might've triggered a boner doesn't mean you like it. Trust me, I've tried getting Thomas to replicate wet dreams, but he kept declining the ideas. Anyway, as long as you don't want to replicate the actions for pleasure or support them, you're not a bad person and I know you're too smart to persuade.

Logan sighed in relief that someone didn't alienate him for something out of his control. He wished that he didn't have to strain himself just to make everyone else hear him out.

I never thought I'd say this, but I appreciate you.

Just give me some time, I'll get things taken care of with some help.

The next day, Logan was only half-surprised to see that he had the Mind Palace to himself. Since no one was around, he thought it would be a good idea to try out some hobbies he wouldn't do around within earshot of everyone else: baking with Crofters Jam, writing some poetry, binging on "Sherlock" and MatPat, even writing a book to add to their library. After some time, his phone blew up with texts of I'm sorry or This was a misunderstanding or even We never meant to hurt you over something natural. Logan sighed as he saw the texts from Roman, Patton, and Virgil and had some speculations.

Did you get Janus to change their minds about me?

Nah, I just explained to Emile what was going on and he gave examples from cartoons and Thomas's life of random boners that occur with no intention. Of course they'd come crawling back to you when they realized they were wrong.

Logan wasn't quick to forgive the three when they profusely apologized since they never let him explain, but he was at least glad they wouldn't look at him as a sicko anymore.
