Remus puts his acquaintances through Horror Hell

TD arrived at the community center and saw a few things that were only mildly surprising to him: his boyfriend on a computer at a desk (although he was sitting in a chair backwards) and four of their friends on tables with helmets on their heads that were connected to the computer. TD approached his crazy boyfriend and chuckled.

"I've never seen you work so hard outside the bedroom," he complimented.

"Well, if I want to get this project off the ground, I have to work hard enough to make my balls jealous," Remus retorted.

TD pulled up a chair and sat next to Remus. He saw a developing scenery that made him think of a horror film: a lake house in the woods with some creepiness added and a playlist shown on a separate window that he could hear slowed down and played backwards.

"What's this project you're working on?" TD asked.

"Well, I'm alternating between an indie game or a short film, so I figured it would be best to go through with this and see which route I want to go," Remus explained.

"How did you get the group to participate?" TD asked suspiciously.

"Patton was making cookies and milk for everyone for a movie night so, in lieu of milk, I made some Crème de la Crème à la Edgar with ZzzQuil added," Remus explained with a dark smirk.

TD wasn't too mad since he knew they wouldn't willingly participate. He also noticed that there was a spare table and a spare helmet.

"I take it I'm not just here to watch you torment them?"

"Okay, you've got me."

Remus pulled up a digital image of a Cthulhu-esque creature with a black-and-yellow color scheme.

"I want you to be my monster. I'm going to supply you with freedom to use any powers, just as long as you don't end the experience too soon," Remus explained.

TD blushed with the knowledge that Remus thought of him out of anybody and gave him a hickey before eagerly going to the spare helmet and table.

"Good luck, big boy," Remus muttered before he activated the simulation.

Patton was the first to wake up. As he was rubbing his head, he looked around and noticed a combination of the decorations around the big room and the mess that was made. He walked around to explore for a little while before he heard some groans. He saw Roman walk out of one room with whiskey and Logan walk out of another room with his hair messy.

"Wait, what happened?" Patton asked.

"From the looks of it, a wild party!" Roman declared.

"Does anyone know what time it is?" Logan asked.

Roman thought and looked around before seeing a trumpet and blowing it hard.

"WHO IS TRUMPETING AT 1:30 IN THE MORNING?" was heard before hard stomping was heard coming down the stairs revealing an angry emo.

Virgil saw Roman with the trumpet and was getting ready to choke him until he noticed the place seemed unfamiliar to him.

"Does anyone remember how we got here? I thought we had a movie night as Roman's place," Virgil proclaimed.

As everyone else was trying to come up with possible theories, Patton was busy cleaning the mess. Every now and then, Patton looked out the window and thought he saw tentacles and heard growling, but he just dismissed is as his imagination and tree branches. Once he was done, Patton kept his rotten mood of nobody noticing or helping him in the back of his mind.

There was a weird sound that Roman found out was coming a nearby radio and, even after replacing the batteries, the music still sounded abnormal and Logan was just looking around as if looking for clues. A window opened and the sound caught the attention of everyone. Virgil slowly approached the window and closed it. He thought he saw something move out of the corner of his eye, but he just dismissed it as his anxiety playing tricks on him. As he was returning to the group, Roman was shouting around the house "Remus! Cut the bullshit!" which would've been a relief if not for the lack of a response. Logan looked around and noticed that there was an animal head on a mantelpiece that he knew for sure wasn't there before.

"Guys, let's back away from the moose head very slowly. One of you needs to look out for the exit while I maintain eye contact with the moose head," Logan whispered at everyone.

As they backed away, Virgil searched for the exit while Roman rolled his eyes and stomped over to the moose head. Roman was taunting it and pretending to box it before he felt an arm wrap around his leg and ended up hanging upside down. What was a moose head was revealed to be a Cthulhu-esque creature with a black-and-yellow color scheme. Roman did his best not to react as he felt tentacles on his face. Virgil pointed to the exit and Logan kept everyone from making a sound as they all backed out of the house while who knows what was done to Roman. It wasn't until they were far enough from the house that Logan was comforting the hyperventilating Virgil and sobbing Patton.

"He wouldn't want us to mourn for him for too long. We need to get some help or at least survive until the daylight," Logan told them.

They were wandering the woods and trying to navigate while sticking together. Patton was trying to make some jokes to lighten the mood, but Logan didn't berate him due to a small understanding of his motive. The creature was seen flying over the trees and the group ran over to some trees that were suddenly morphed into a wooden wall.

"Magic? You son of a bitch!" Logan muttered before they all took off in a different direction.

They heard a loud growl and suddenly felt an increase in temperature. Virgil noticed a small flame grow and move from tree to tree. They were running away as the flame grew. A tree was close to falling and Virgil pushed Logan and Patton away before getting crushed by the tree. Patton called for him before Logan pulled him away from the flames.

Logan comforted Patton to the best of his ability before they saw a nearby road and the sky start to brighten. Logan heard a growl and pulled Patton with him behind a tree and held him close as if he'll vanish.

"Patton, listen to me. I have reason to believe that we are stuck in a horror flick or an equivalent of it," Logan whispered.

Patton nodded nervously.

"Doesn't the virgin usually die last?" Patton whispered.

"That must mean I'm next," they both whispered at the same time.

The two looked at each other in shock in realization.

"I, umm...I guess this gives a new meaning to 'do or die'," Patton awkwardly said.

Logan saw a bush as he heard the creature growl louder before pulling Patton into the bush. As the creature got closer he heard moans and groans come from the moving bush and felt itself fade away.

TD removed the helmet and approached Remus. He sat next to the latter and saw, on the screen, that Logan and Patton were muttering while cuddling.

"Alright, you sick bastard, have you decided which route you're going for?" he asked.

"Oh, I'm sticking with a film," he said nonchalantly.

The couple heard the sound of someone clearing their throat and saw an angry Roman and Virgil.

"Have fun traumatizing us?" Roman growled.

As soon as Remus saved the footage on a flash drive and put it in his pocket, he and TD made a break for it.
