Spoiler Warning: This article contains major spoilers for Ginny Wedss Sunny 2, including the complete story and ending.

Ginny Wedss Sunny 2 is a Hindi romantic comedy starring Avinash Tiwary and Medha Shankr. The film was released on April 24, 2026, and is directed by Prasshant Jha.

The story revolves around Sunny, a small-town wrestler from Rishikesh, and Ginny, an independent and modern woman from Delhi. Their personalities could hardly be more different, but their families believe marriage might solve both of their problems.

What starts as an arranged marriage built on carefully hidden truths eventually becomes a story about trust, acceptance and giving love another chance.

Sunny's Dream Is Destroyed

Sunny is introduced as a talented wrestler who dreams of competing at the national level. After winning a local wrestling competition, he prepares to travel to Delhi.

However, his life changes when a girl on a bus tries to steal a passenger's wallet. Sunny stops her, but she turns the situation against him and accuses him of misbehaving with her.

A video of the incident spreads around Rishikesh, damaging Sunny's reputation.

Five years later, Sunny is still struggling with the consequences. His family desperately wants him to get married, but finding a bride has become difficult.

Ginny and Sunny's Families Tell Lies

Meanwhile, Ginny lives in Delhi. She is educated, independent, works at a call centre and enjoys partying and drinking.

Her previous relationships have failed, including a broken engagement, leaving her willing to consider an arranged marriage.

The problem is that both families believe honesty is preventing their children from finding suitable partners.

Sunny's family presents him as highly educated and financially successful. Ginny's side similarly hides parts of her modern lifestyle to make her appear like the traditional bride Sunny's family expects.

When the two meet, Sunny is immediately attracted to Ginny.

Ginny also likes something unusual about him: unlike the other men she has met, Sunny does not bombard her with questions.

Soon, they agree to marry.

Their Marriage Begins to Fall Apart

The problem is that neither Sunny nor Ginny married the person they thought they were marrying.

After the wedding, their differences quickly become impossible to ignore.

Ginny eventually discovers that Sunny does not have the successful business she was told about. She also learns about the old viral incident that destroyed his reputation.

Feeling cheated and humiliated, Ginny confronts Sunny in front of his family and leaves for Delhi.

Sunny is equally furious.

At first, he decides that he will win Ginny back only so that he can later reject her and take revenge for his humiliation.

But his plan does not go as expected.

Sunny Follows Ginny to Delhi

Sunny travels to Delhi, where Ginny and her mother are already preparing for divorce.

Instead of walking away, Sunny starts trying to get Ginny's attention again.

His feelings begin changing when he realizes that he does not simply want revenge anymore.

During a party, Sunny also intervenes when a man behaves inappropriately with Ginny. Ginny refuses to be impressed easily, but the incident shows that Sunny still cares deeply about her.

Eventually, Sunny asks Ginny for one final chance.

He proposes that she return to Rishikesh with him until Holi. After Holi, if she still wants to leave, he promises to give her the divorce.

Ginny agrees.

Ginny Wedss Sunny 2 Ending Explained

Back in Rishikesh, Ginny starts noticing something important.

Sunny has changed.

He is no longer simply pretending to become the kind of husband she wants. His attitude toward Ginny and their relationship has genuinely evolved.

At the same time, Ginny's feelings for Sunny return.

But there is one problem: they promised each other they would divorce after Holi.

Neither wants to admit that they now want the marriage to survive.

When the day arrives, Ginny prepares to leave for Delhi. Sunny finally confesses that he still loves her and wants to make their relationship work.

Ginny still gets on the train, leaving Sunny heartbroken.

But watching Ginny cry makes him realize that she does not truly want their relationship to end either.

Sunny rushes onto the train.

In the film's emotional final moment, he tells Ginny that he is even willing to observe Karwa Chauth for her.

Ginny and Sunny finally embrace.

Do Ginny and Sunny Get Divorced?

No.

The ending strongly indicates that Ginny and Sunny abandon their divorce plans and decide to give their marriage a genuine second chance.

The difference is that their first marriage began with lies created by their families.

Their second beginning is based on something much more important: they finally know who the other person really is and still choose each other.

That is the central meaning behind the ending of Ginny Wedss Sunny 2.

Sunny learns to accept Ginny without trying to turn her into his idea of a traditional wife, while Ginny recognizes that Sunny's past and imperfections do not define the person he has become.

Instead of ending with divorce, their story ends with reconciliation, love and the possibility of building a relationship based on honesty.
