Soap Dirt is reporting that TV Line has confirmed that General Hospital will return to the air with new episodes beginning on August 3. Soap Dirt revealed a few weeks back that two actresses on the ABC daytime drama had tested positive for COVID-19 but there was never any confirmation. Neither was this information revealed by any other spoiler. Having said that, here is what is being projected for the sudser during the week of August 3-7.

On Monday, Nelle will find herself shaken up over an issue. Prior to the shutdown, it was brought up in court that her new husband, Julian Jerome, had held a knife to Alexis Davis's throat. Perhaps this information might cost Ms. Benson full custody of her son. Jax is going to be impressed with Nina’s strength and this could be regarding business, her -personal life, or both. Ms. Reeves had decided to testify on Nelle's behalf in court so it could be related to the fallout after she gives the psycho a good reference. Carly and her family are not going to like Nina saying anything that will go in Nelle's favor. Ms. Reeves situation may also be related to her past relationship with Valentin, Crimson, both or something totally unrelated.

On Tuesday, Nelle will be confrontational, which is her attitude every day. Perhaps she threatens her new spouse that she will reveal his deeds if he causes her to lose Wiley. She may even get into an altercation with Carly or Willow. On Wednesday, Michael and Willow will find they are growing closer to each other. This is what a lot of viewers have been hoping for. This does not mean that Chase and Sasha will fall in love but when the truth comes out, Michael and Willow will be shocked at how they were manipulated. This will also cause problems with Carly and her so because she was in on the hoax and kept silent. Nelle is going to demand to see her son and this will surely cause some fireworks.

On Thursday, Carly and Sam are going to bond over a common struggle, but there is no mention of what it is. The one thing they have in common is Jason so it could be related to him. The spoiler says Curtis is going to run into Chase, but the significance of this is not known. Cyrus and Brando will meet so perhaps viewers will find out it the two have been working together all along. On Friday Brando will spend time with Sonny. It could be about Mike or his mother Gladys or perhaps he is spying for Mr. Renult.

General Hospital has not given a lot of details about how they will go forward after the coronavirus but Brad Bell the executive producer of The Bold and the Beautiful has been upfront with viewers. the health department regulations. He has been telling the public for the past month about all the expensive changes that must take place to comply with The following are some things he has shared that will probably take place on all four remaining daytime drama shows.

The cast will have to be tested frequently for COVID-19 and must have hand sanitizer on them at all times. Social distancing must be adhered to and fewer of the cast will be allowed on the set than before. Camera angles will be used to give the impression that actors are closer to each other than they really are. Real life significant others of the cast will be used in love scenes but will only be shown from behind. Brad Bell has suggested that blow up dolls might even be utilized. The crew members must wear masks and work from behind plexiglass.

One safety precaution that obviously has been walked back is actors over age 65 not being able to tape scenes right away. Max Gail, 77, who portrays Sonny's dad Mike Corbin had posted on Facebook that he would not be seen in Port Charles right away but this past week he said that he would be on General Hospital when it returned. Eric Braeden, 79, who plays Victor Newman on The Young and the Restless hs shared on Facebook that he is already back taping scenes. Initially, spoilers said that Mike's demise would be delayed because there was concern about the health risks for older actors.

If Gail is back in action this probably means that the Corinthos family will be saying goodbye to him. When last seen, Mike was no longer eating and lying in bed with his mouth open. Make sure you tune in on August 3 to see the first new episodes of General Hospital and prepare for the death of Mike Corbin. Max Gail is a beloved actor and his character has grown on the audience as well. It will be tough saying goodbye to both of them.
