General Hospital Housecleaning Disturbs Fans

General Hospital has done some recent housecleaning that has disturbed many loyal viewers. Out with the old and in with the new appears to be the current theme as Port Charles has become a revolving door. Some changes were implemented with no prior notice, which has been especially troubling.

Cast members have been coming and going regularly from Port Chuck for the past few months. There have been so many recent changes that fans are complaining, and wonder if more are on the way. Let's take a look at what has been happening and what the future may hold.

There was a lot of disappointment when Ryan Peavey was written out as Cassius Faison along with Andrew Hawkes (Ross Cullum). When it was revealed that fake Nathan survived being shot, fans thought he might stick around. There are rumors he may return at a future date, but this has not been confirmed.

Viewers were angry when GH axed Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) and James West (Gary James Fuller). Fans pointed out that the soap could have temporarily or permanently recast Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms). This would have kept James and Spinelli at home and brought necessary closure.

Fuller thanked Easton Winn for filling in for him after an accident but he never returned and Winn was playing James when he said goodbye which confused those who enjoy the ABC soap.

Spinelli never worked a 9-5 job while living in Port Charles so it did not make sense for him to move to another continent to work. Some viewers said Damian should have been involved when Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) went to prison and returned but he was not.

Fans understood that Storms is dealing with personal issues and may not return but say her character deserved to confront the man who pretended to be her late husband.

Georgie Jones (Lily Fisher) has not been on screen recently. Still, it was startling to learn the whole family abruptly left the country Some viewers believed that since Spinelli suspected Nathan was a fake from the beginning that he should have been part of the big reveal.

Nathan Dean had only agreed to return as Ethan Lovett for a short run, but this was not conveyed to GH viewers, who were stunned when (Christian Howard) was recast in the role. It remains unclear whether Howard will show up again.

Jacinda Bracken's (Page Hershel) last scenes were on Tuesday, August 11, but viewers knew that her relationship with Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) was doomed. Now he may already have a new love interest.
