General Hospital fans wonder where Diane and Suzanne are
Blythe Howard joins the cast as Blythe who will work with Alexis as Carolyn Hennessy, and Jen Ray are noticeably absent.

Where are Diane and Suzanne?
General Hospital has just announced that Blythe Howard has joined the cast as a character named Monet. She has ties to a Port Charles character and will be working at the Miller & Davis law firm with Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn).
The writers often make decisions that stump loyal viewers and remain silent on issues that fans desire to know about. Both apply in this situation. This has those who watch the ABC soap wondering where Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennessey) and Suzanne (Jen Ray) are.
Hennessey had been away from the soap for a while after a broken leg required multiple surgeries. Fans had also noticed the actress was not looking her best and appeared to be wearing a wig when she returned. This is not judgment but an observation made by many on social media.
Hennessey announced on the State of Mind podcast with Maurice Benard that she had been dealing with alcoholism, which led concerned fans to wonder if this is why she has been missing.

Carolyn Hennessey is missed
Kelly Monaco's announcement that she is now six months sober has renewed questions about Miller. No one has been mean-spirited or negative, only curious.
Those who watch General Hospital had been hoping that Diane and Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) were going to have a lasting relationship. They had great chemistry and worked well together.
Out of nowhere, Robert decided to leave Port Charles with Holly Sutton (Emma Samms), and fans were stunned. It was soon announced that Rogers had cancer, and he later died. Shortly after, Diane disappeared from the screen.
Hennessey joined the cast of General Hospital in 2006 but has continued to appear on other television shows and films during that time. She has also done voice work in video games.

GH fans enjoyed Suzanne
GH fans were looking for Diane to be a part of several recent courtroom dramas, like the Willow Cain (Caitlin MacMullen) trial and the saga of Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner), but she was not.
Suzanne was great as Alexis's assistant when Willow was on trial. Fans loved her quirkiness and her knowledge. Ray previously portrayed a psychic named Sybil on GH, and viewers were happy to see her return.
GH execs have not stated why Diane and Suzanne are missing. Fans don't know if they will return or if Monet is replacing them. Alexis has been keeping tabs on her grandchildren, Scout Cain ( Kayden Brenna Tokarski) and Danny Morgan (Ashton Antoynzyn).
Scout and Danny have the same mother, Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco), and their fathers, Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) and Jason Morgan (Steve Burton), are twins. This makes them half-siblings, cousins, Quartermaines, and Cassadines, which is why Alexis has her work cut out for her.

Will Monet stick around a while?
Blythe Howard's character will have a connection to someone in Port Charles. There is no information on whether she is on contract or will only be around temporarily.
There are rumors across Facebook that Monet will be connected to baby Phoebe, but this has not been verified. There is also a theory that she may be the sister of Jordan Ashford (Tarnisha Howard).
Whoever Monet is connected with in Port Charles, General Hospital fans will be more interested in why she will be in the Miller & Davis Law Firm and if and when Diane and Suzanne will return, so be watching for updates. The powers that be will reveal what they want viewers to know in time or fans will have to figure it out as it unfolds on screen.
