Gemini Man - movie poster

Ge mini Man is about the controversial topic of "Cloning" especially of a human being. The movie starts off overseas and takes place in other countries throughout the movie. This movie came out last year in 2019 and wasn't the box office hit that they wanted for Paramount.

It stars Will Smith times two in this epic sci-fi action thriller. The movie also stars Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Clive Owen, Benedict Wong, and Ralph Brown. Directed by Ang Lee and Produced by Jerry Bruckheimer.

This movie is about a hitman for the government by the name of Henry Brogan who is in the process of trying to retire. He figures that 51 is a good age to retire. Unfortunately for him the government doesn't want him to retire even though they knew that day would eventually come. He attempts to put his career to bed, but they decide he doesn't need to go that far. Since he is retiring he is no longer of any use to them.

This is a bizarre journey that goes off the rails several times throughout the movie. Non stop action for almost 2 hours will keep you on the edge of your seat. Twists and turns that will surprise you to no end.

All Henry wants is to settle down and find the peace he so desperately needs to have a quiet life. He regrets never having a wife or children or a normal career for that matter. He kills "dangerous" and "bad" people according to the government that has him doing their dirty work. He discovers many secrets along the way.

It starts off with Henry being surveilled by a DIA agent by the name of Dani Zakarweski which is played by Mary Elizabeth Winstead. She must gather information for the government to see if Henry is actually retiring. Then report back to them with the information so they can decide what they want to do next. They quickly decide to kill him as he knows way too much.

The government sends various assassins to take him out. They don't get too far. Henry is extremely good at his job even if he is getting older. Since they knew he would have to retire someday and that he is the Best in the business they had to come up with a very unique strategy of putting him down. They extracted blood from him 25 years prior so they could clone him. They figured the clone, if trained the same or better, would be their solution.

The clone is named Clay Junior and raised by Clay Varris the Director of GEMINI which is played by Clive Owen. The clone looks identical to Henry, thinks like him, and has the same fears and desires. Basically it is Henry, but he's around the age of 23 and in the prime of his life. It's at an age before he was messed up in the head by all the people he's had to kill including innocent bystanders he killed by accident.

They battle in several scenes by use of guns, weapons, fists, and whatever else they can find. It is incredibly filmed with an Amazing storyline.

Junior soon discovers the truth and decides to go down his own path. Together with Henry they start taking out the true enemy.

You will be surprised at what happens around every corner. This is a must see movie for anyone that likes action, suspense, thrillers, sci-fi, or Will Smith. It's the perfect combination for anyone into those genres of movie. You have to watch this for yourself in order to see how it all ends.

It is available on Amazon Prime Video as an included movie for all of its paid subscribers.
