An 1818 novel by English author Mary Shelley is "Frankenstein". The novel Frankenstein tells the story of a young scientist named Victor Frankenstein. He created an intelligent animal through a scientific experiment. Shelley began writing novels in 1818, and at the age of 20, the first edition was published anonymously in London. However, his name was first used when it was published in Paris in 1821.

In 1815, Shelley traveled through Europe along the Rhine in Germany. Frankenstein stopped at Castle, 16 kilometers from Castle. Two centuries ago, an alchemist was engaged in experiments there. Most of the story takes place in the Geneva region of Switzerland and he goes there.

The main topics of conversation between him and his companions were galvanism and occult ideas. In particular, there were conversations about her lover and future husband. In 1816 there was a contest between Mary Percy and Lord Byron over who could write the best horror. After some days of worrying, Shelley began writing the novel Frankenstein, which created an animal.

The Frankenstein novel, however, covers both Gothic and romantic novels. Brian Aldis argues that this should be considered the first true science fiction. The central character of the book is tested in science and achieves positive results. The book was able to make a significant impact on literature and culture.

Since the novel was published, the name "Frankenstein" has often been misused to refer to the monster instead of its creator. Shelley finished writing the novel in 1817, and the book was published on 1 January 1818. The book was published anonymously by a publishing house in London. The book was published in three volumes in only 500 copies.

The book was translated into French in 1821. On August 11, 1823, Frankenstein's novel was published in two volumes in the second English edition. Author Shelley is credited on the first page of the book after it was published this time.
