Full Moon King (FMK): Chibi Edition is cute non-canon comics about the characters in the FMK universe. Follow Silver (Full Moon King), Banusi (Anubis), and more on these mini adventures. Full Moon King Series (Coming Soon). Art by Egoistic-Cosmos. Story by Raven Diamond. Updates every two weeks on Fridays (will attempt to upload weekly on Fridays to the current platforms). These current images are the concept art for the series (Episodes 1-3 on tapas, Wattpad, and WEBTOON). Silver was based on a few anime drawings; as well as the original representation in my series Full Moon King (Coming Soon). Silver only needed one round of drawings (Thank you amazing artist). Banusi (Anubis) and Dawn required two rounds due to coloration.

All three of these characters are constant throughout the series (and most pop up in the sequels/prequels). They each have backstories that I have been peppering in the main series (Full Moon King), but I have been debating on giving them their own spin off series.

In this chibi series I get to do some side stories as well as non-canon skits. It’s a good way to play with the other sides of their personalities that you don’t get to see in the main series. It’s also a good way to make two characters interact and see if it’s something I want to include in the main series. If it works great! If not it’s not a big deal. This is all an experimentation area for me. It eventually may have some chibi series only characters and I may expand it to have it’s own plot or I may not. It all depends on how well this series and the Full Moon King series is received by the audience. It may be my pet project and a labor of love, but it requires a lot of work. If it isn’t received well there’s no point in adding details no one wants. It’s extra work with no pay off or reward in the end. There’s not even a lot of satisfaction to motive to do more since I like it how it is at the moment. Should that change then of course I’ll do more, but it’s perfect for now.

To top it all off this has been helping my artist as well. She had never done comics before only single page commissions, so she’s getting to expand her craft and get paid for it (yes, I believe artwork is work and I pay her). She only does this comic for me, but we do have plans to work on other series together and maybe a few holiday things.

I have a separate artist for the main series as that requires a darker style and deals with more serious topics. The chibi is safe for most ages. The main series is geared towards older teens/ young adults/adults. It is not safe for kids (mostly due to violence and subject matters. Not sex stuff unless you want to count inferences or jokes).

Finding an artist within my budget for chibi wasn’t too difficult. I only had to go through about 3 or 4 to find the one for me. Finding an artist for the main series however...it wasn’t easy. The subject matter is dark and harsh to say the least. Those that loved it didn’t have the correct style (it needed a really clean yet dark look similar to older star wars comics). If it didn’t have the right style it wouldn’t help the story and actually take away from it. After 58 (yes really 58) artists I finally found the one I needed that I could afford. I will probably make a separate post talking about that process. Anyways, this has been a little look at my series FMK: Chibi Edition.
